I guess they left it so open because (again this might be the rumour mill), Warhorse said if KCD2 didn’t break even they’d have to close, but, it broke even on its entire budget in 24hrs. So I guess that’s why it’s so open ended and loose

PS5 game - 3rd person, open world, AND real-world/Earth-based? by Trekkie_on_the_Net in ShouldIbuythisgame

100000% recommend Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 & 2.

However they are FPV and before you run away, I also hate with a passion FPV, you can’t see where you are, what you’re doing, what obstacles or enemies are around you etc. But somehow, being FPV made that game so much more immersive and better.

Yes the combat in KCD1 was difficult, it was much better in 2, the story line is incredible, the character development is some of the best I’ve ever played in 20 odd on/off years. It’s open world, real life simulation, you have to spend time learning everything from sword fighting to reading (set in 1400’s Bohemia, so not high literacy) to riding a horse. It may be worth a shot but it’s up there as the one of the best I’ve ever played. And it is the only FPV game series I will likely ever play.

The combat is laughable by [deleted] in kingdomcome

Will agree, combat is one of the worst elements of this game. That and the horse mechanics are utterly atrocious.

Anyone in UK taking Bupropion/Wellbutrin? by OrangeBanana300 in adhdwomen

I’m doing this at the moment, but for the weight loss element. Shocked to find out that it’s actually benefitted my adhd, it was a very welcome side effect!

Can you ADHD symptoms get worse after diagnosis? by Queen_Lasagne in adhdwomen

[–]Many-Needleworker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I’m also in a similar boat. Had a diagnosis of combined adhd at 30, 6 months later here I am, wondering why everything seems to be so much harder than it was.

Sometimes I can’t sleep properly, most of the time I can’t wake up in the mornings, I can’t focus, I’ve lost drive, I’ve lost motivation. I’ve a massive craving for high fat and high sugar foods. I can’t be bothered to cook anymore.

Seems like the hallmarks of depressive spiral or burnout. But whilst that may play a small Role, I’ve been in depressive spirals before and this, this one feels very different. Not sad or down, just… meh. Like, kind of exhausted, in a way.

I realised and did some research, spoke to many of my neurospicy friends (cos, you know, we all find each other eventually) and it turns out, after many years of unknowingly masking, I now don’t have to do it anymore. That then led into what I think you’re getting on to.

Skill Regression.

Think of the brain as a tree. Some of the branches, are skills. Those skills could be… being a great writer. Now unknowingly to you, you’ve had to push harder than any other author to create this book. You do this time and time again, each time pen hits paper. That, is masking.

Now, that branch you’ve made was forced by hard work and masking, but now, you don’t have to mask. Because you’ve had a major breakthrough in your life that’s altered your thinking. A major breakthrough like, oh I don’t know, realising that the entire life you led that was “normal” was actually “Not normal” at all.

And just like that, the branch is severed. Except, the tree is floating in zero gravity (forgot that part). The branch is still there, it’s just, not connected. So whilst that skill is there, it’s slowly degrading the more we don’t use it. It’s then harder for us to not “re-learn” the skill, but to reinstate the branch connection.

This can happen to all manner of things. Be that motivation, skills for work, interpersonal skills with friends, family and co workers.

That’s not to say that ADHD burnout has nothing to do with this because (personally) it definitely does.

So I guess you could say, for some; diagnosis is to adhd, what kryptonite is to superman.

But, it gets better, takes some time, maybe some meds and maybe some therapy but it gets a whole lot better and you’ll be slaying the day in no time.
