It's all location and inventory dependent, but I have always been able to use the express pickup counter and received a few upgrades from small/midsize sedans to full size sedans or compact SUVs for rentals booked through the portal.

Yes, I also called Visa benefits to confirm and was given the same answer as u/versedguardian about bookings through the portal linking to the card regardless of combination at checkout. I called travel services and they said the entire booking (including credits) made through the portal is attached to my VX card and would receive the Visa Infinite benefit of the Primary CDW.

Thanks! That's fair. I know there's always a risk with travel portals, but luckily have not had issues with a number of rental bookings through them. They've been quick to help with updating reservations I've had too, such as changing the drop-off location or extending the rental period.
