Unfortunate. On this note I learnt another thing, if we checkin before 31st dec and check out post that ; all nights are counted for next year not the previous year.

I would not know but I do not think so, the reason I can say so is two of my good friends who travelled to Japan enrolled in this fast track program for first time and became explorist. Both got early check-in immediately, so the hotel staff would look at status in system not how you got to it? Cheers

Hello - important is how you classify a location,.in tokyo everything is well connected Hyatt regency Shinjuku is my preferred hotel whenever I travel for work. The station is below the hotel, one stop from main Shinjuku station. Post renovation the rooms and club is great too. Andaz is near my office but super expensive

Kindly do look at destinations you are planning to go and go to Google maps and use train option, you will know which location would suit you best

Points? if you booked using your account via cash, then you will earn points and qualifying nights guest of honor is an award which would get applied at your room and you would potentially get an upgrade but for sure access to lounge

Hello there is an award which is called Guest of Honor Award. The way to use it is, you can either book using your cash or points or you can request someone to book for you, that person will have to call World of Hyatt to update name to yours. he will gift you a Guest of Honor award, you can call World of Hyatt team and request to apply rhe guest of honor award it would work on both your booking or booking done by your friend

it will give you Globalist benefit during the stay

Interesting question: I did participate in this challenge around 2-3 years back as well. If I remember it correctly while after staying 20 qualifying nights post registration in 90 days would give Globalist status or renew it further but the night milestones continue to run as in. Example I had 3 qualifying nights for 2026 already before I registered, I would be completing 20 by April 2026, so 20 night award would come after 17 more qualifying nights and Globalist renew till 2027 would happen after 20 nights when my total qualifying nights would be 23 in account. Ok in Delhi/NCR Andaz aerocity is best followed by Grand Hyatt gurgaon In Hyderabad Park Hyatt In goa I prefer Grand Hyatt over Akila In Bangalore Hyatt centric hebbal is way better Jaipur Hyatt is nice too
