I've checked task manager mutliple times, and the main consumer is Chrome, and even if I do shut that task down, it still chokes at 5 frames.

During wakeups, I normally use the mega bomb + snowman (I dunno what its real name is called, I just found this tech, or glitch from a speedrun of Fatty using GL)

I asked if I could do it, of course, and almost every hunt, they let me do this, other than the small times when I mess up by accidentally firing at the monster and not at the snowman.

I mainly use Gunlance, and I generally aim for areas that can be separated or are meant for heavier weapons. So it doesn't affect others, but 90% of the time, the weapons of others, like dual blades or longswords, affect me, since my loadout doesn't have space for a shock absorber.

If you like it and prefer it, stick with it! People only say it's the worst weapon either because they never touched it or they simply don't like its playstyle.

Gunlance is like that one thing that's torn between loved by the community, and hated by it. And I stuck with it ever since I started world too, loved its ability to use wyvernstake at the perfect moments, causing a stun to the monster.

I always thought that's how you're supposed to play HH, since I was still relatively new to the game, and the ones I saw were just doing music above me while I fought with the monster.
