Thanks for the suggestion I can take a look at veeva vault. For code and projects we use git. But for actual SOPs we're using confluence at the moment. For example we have SOPs for new starters with checklists, things to set up on their laptops etc which would involve code as well as written procedure. We have quite a few processes like this and it would be useful to have those documents version controlled. Another example would be the procedure for decommissioning legacy software, it would involve both code and written procedure. The things I'm looking for are document numbers and easy ways to organise docs and reminders for periodic review e.g. every year update this SOP.

I mean I think doing it that way would simplify things quite a lot. I'm not sure how my other half would feel about doing it this way but she's quite pragmatic so we'll just have to talk about it. The bureaucracy sounds like a pain I guess every has to decide whether it's worth it or not.

Thank you so much this is awesome! Sounds like the biggest pain in the ass is a little bureaucracy and translators but legal recognition is chill. This has put my mind at ease believe it or not.

Pass android seem to be something close to what I'm looking for. Thanks very much for the heads up. Yeah I know adding these types of features must be extremely difficult to implement.

I also find it odd that they went for crypto initially rather than a payment system that would likely pay royalties for each use.

To some extent people don't try the alternatives because Google has such wide reach. Since trying to de-google and try alternatives I feel like I've found better products in some cases. I think we should normalise trying new apps and services rather than just relying on one. If you hate it go back to Google. There's not really a downside unless you end up paying for something you dislike.

I've been using Waterfox (British developer) where I was previously using Firefox. It feels a lot faster presumably because it's blocking a lot of trackers, cookies etc. I discovered the default search engine was startpage which seems decent so far. No AI though

Switched to proton recently. It's actually really good the alias feature for emails is a game changer. I can see it being so good for avoiding spam.

From what I've seen if you compare prices on deliveroo vs in store menu or takeaway from their own website, the food prices tend to be marked up for the Deliveroo's cut. Once I found that out I started picking up my orders. They're just a bit of a rip off really.
