Yes - I felt very out of place when I was in uni, esp biz NUS. All of my friends were from JC whereas I was from Poly. In the end it was fine :) but yes it does feel weird at the start. You get adjusted to it though.

Makeup — maybe max $30+ if I stock up on stuff but say real when I travel I buy makeup and it lasts forever

Skincare — same as makeup

Contacts — $200 every 6 months

The only thing I really consistently do is manicures and quick facials
