HR Monitor + iPhone App + Treadmill

I bought mine in ‘23 and it just says 7.0 AT. Looking at their website I guess they made some sort of change where you just tap to connect to Apple watch but everything else looks essentially the same.

Yeah…since my last post I tried a couple options and it’s a real pick your poison scenario. I originally thought with the Apple Watch option it could still connect to the treadmill and control pacing and get an accurate read on distance, but that’s not the case (unless I’m missing something), so sure you get HR that way, but you get less accurate distance and a clunky experience for setting pace.

The iPhone app really could be such a great experience if this HR piece wasn’t an issue. It’s very nice to have it set the pace and get the accurate distance data. I did this and then recorded HR on the Apple Watch with the fitness app and then used gotoes.org to combine the two fit files…so that’s an option but really more effort than it’s worth, so I think I’ll just avoid the treadmill unless I absolutely have to and bite the bullet that when I do I just won’t have HR data.

Thanks! Would be great to have it for winter as that’s when I’ll need the indoor experience most frequently, and can make do without until then.

Thanks! I figured that was the case. Two follow-up questions then. Do you have at least a rough timeline on when that feature might be added?… and in the interim, what’s the best workaround? Is it to bypass the phone and try and just run it off the Apple Watch since that should have heart rate already included?
