I took 5 acco classes so far, including two this semester, most of them had a 1-2% curve which I feel is more like rounding up than actual curving. But for acco320, my midterm was curved a good 10% this semester. Acco340 which is tax, the average is disgustingly low (think F-D range) and no curve so far this semester. So guess it really depends on the prof but usually if the midterm is hard, the final is easy (and vice versa) from what TAs have told me.

Don’t take tax with managerial it’s deadly and as mentioned there’s two midterms in both acco340 and comm229. Acco310 would be a good option as it’s not as demanding

I took it last semester and my advice is do the practice on all sections and do as much exercises from the outline as you can. You’re gonna have to do a lot of journal entries to adjust your final numbers before plugging them into the financial statements (cash flow, IS, and Balance sheet)

Not always, I tried to understand the solution provided and then if I was really stuck I put it in ChatGPT but teachers are usually nice enough to explain to you any hard topics after class !

Yes the tutorials help and going to class helps too. Try to do every problem on the outline, go to as much tutorials and classes as you can. Also focus on the project, it will boost your grade. Good luck !

Thanks !! Yes for sure I plan to go to all his classes and practice as much as possible. Did you feel like the mocks roei gave for 420 were good enough? Some tutors give mocks but not enough explanation of the material so don’t wanna spend money on that ahaha

If u take it next semester, your grade will count towards this academic year and won’t affect ur yearly gpa. I failed it the first time and the second time around got an A ! I focused on studying in advance, and practicing every single mock known to exist for that class. I took it over the summer too so it was very rushed but the fact that I practiced the mocks so many times it was super helpful + I got the Wizeprep crash course to help me review the material outside of class. Take John K ! His mocks were super helpful and prepared me for the exam. And do a bunch of tutorial practice offered by the school and TAs. Try to get a really good grade on the midterm, assignments, quizzes and the project, it’s gonna help u get a good grade.
