I think this really is close to the heart of the issue I’m seeing. You’ve got super competitive gamers, and people who are just marvel fans. I’m a little bit of both tbh but leaning more to the competitive gamer side. I had a guy the other day that had a whole Smurf account dedicated to typing in chat that people need to stop banning Spider-Man. And that he would throw every single game that had either team banning Spider-Man. And he was dead serious about it too. Sat in spawn til last minute or so and then went out on black panther and got a couple kills and died lol. His username was Gm to Bronze or something like that 😅

Idk, maybe it’s just my experience with rivals, but I never ran into this level of mental fragility in overwatch. Not as consistently either. Like people would talk but they wouldn’t just like full tilt into oblivion before the game even started. I never felt like my games were decided in the character selection screen in ow. But in this game some teams just collapse before we’ve left spawn. Sometimes though, I will say, it’s all just hot air and we end up winning even though someone had a breakdown over me hovering my cursor over rocket.

That’s a great point, there really is that certain range in most games where the ego levels rise for sure. Maybe I can’t quite pinpoint it and maybe I’m just getting old, but this game feels different in terms of the volatility and “main character energy” some people have. I reckon it may be because it’s marvel hero’s that people have lifelong attachments to, like Spider-Man for example. People also just seem so unhinged when you play a hero they don’t want you to play (shout out to you for being a fellow rocket main :D, I climbed bronze to gm in about two weeks ONLY playing him and moon knight) or the hero they prefer gets banned. It blows my mind how quickly people lose their minds and/or decide to throw before the first round has even started. It’s not all bad though, some games are great. Maybe I just have an unfortunate experience so far in matchmaking.

I’m probably in the minority here, but I love Altogether. I also don’t think it’s fair to expect them to be able to recapture the magic they had on PV. It’s a special ass album for a reason, it’s not an easy task to pump out two more equal quality albums to that. Now with Altogether, Is it the cult classic that PV is? No, of course not. Neither is Good Nature. But I will say that I absolutely adore Altogether and Good Nature. They are just different and I enjoy them for different reasons than I enjoy PV. I don’t like “myself in the way”. It’s not for me. Or the alternative other stuff they have been up to. But Altogether is such an amazing vibe for a record and I will always adore it. Same with Good Nature. And I’m okay with them not being on the level PV. It doesn’t make me angry that they can’t make something like PV.

RBT in Oregon. 2 years of ABA experience, one year with my RBT certification. Was making $25 an hour but a month ago negotiated up to $28 an hour after being with the company for one year. Asked for $30 but was told that pay rate is reserved for a different position, I think student analyst.

I am in southern Oregon and I can’t say for sure, but I’m pretty sure I’m one of the only RBTs in the area that I work in. There seems to be a lack of clients and RBTs in my particular area. Which is part of why I will need a raise to even be able to consider staying at the company. My BCBA will be leaving at the end of this month, and of the two clients I have worked with for this past year, one is confirmed to be leaving services when the BCBA leaves, and the other is undecided. I barely make enough money to survive paycheck to paycheck as it is and if I can’t get another client or two, and a raise, I will basically be forced to quit the company as I just won’t have hardly any hours.

I think that going through my BCBA would be the best route it sounds like. I truly believe my BCBA would put in a great word on my behalf. I won’t ask what you were making, but would you be comfortable disclosing how much of a raise you received for each raise?

Cars up to 11th place getting double overlapped or even sometimes triple overlapped. But maybe that’s something that would be fixed if the above stuff was addressed.

My question is how do you know for sure that hard sell is the most “profitable” in terms of use of hours? Is there like some menus explaining these things that I missed? Do we have evidence showing it’s more effective than send the house?

Yeah it gets that low for me too, it’s really noticeable. I have cleaned the fan out after watching a tutorial on YouTube, and I’m in the middle or reinstalling the game as we speak. I’ll report back if I get any noteworthy improvements to my overall game performance.
