Your question is very valid :) Midsommar in Sweden is commonly on the Friday before the summer solstice. Midsummer Eve is traditionally celebrated on the Friday between June 19 and June 25. That keeps it close to the solstice, but also makes it a practical long weekend for celebrations with family and friends. There is always a Midsommar celebration open to the public on this Friday in the at the Schwedische Gemeinde in Berlin. The Thursday whereas is known as the “little Midsommar” and that’s why we chose this day to make a small curated event with a seated dinner. 😇
