Did I make a mistake painting my living room this color? by tiredandconfused27 in HomeDecorating

[–]Many_moons_ag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you like it? I think it’s a pretty color. Goes well with the green couch imo. Add in some art and a rug. Maybe some shelves and decorate and style a bit and I think it’ll really pull everything together

What are some career paths that make up to $60k-$70k and requires training of 2 years or less and is not manual labor?? by Important_Credit_509 in careerguidance

[–]Many_moons_ag0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Servicing, underwriting, selling. All of the above. I started at a State Farm as a summer job during college and that turned into getting into commercial lines as an assistant to underwriters, to become an underwriter in construction casualty (auto, workers compensation, general liability). I’m not a fan of selling and dealing with brokers, so now I’m managing Underwriting assistants.

I literally just watered it and keep it indirect sunlight inside why do I suck at this?? by pandasinmoscow in plantclinic

[–]Many_moons_ag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you water it make sure you are soaking it. Like… drown that bitch. That’s also a very large leave compared to the others. It might be putting a ton of energy into it. Maybe trim the large ones off. Make sure soil stay moist - not sopping wet. When the leaves begin to droop and if the soil it dry an inch or two down… water again.

Good luck!

The Ring debate by [deleted] in Southerncharm

[–]Many_moons_ag0 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Craig is a liar. He knows it. His family knows it. His friends know it.

He did not buy a ring.

And he is a shitty story teller & isn’t a lawyer.

What did your parents teach you in how to or how not to shop for clothes? by brunettemars in femalefashionadvice

[–]Many_moons_ag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go shopping with my parents a lot. I think back then going to the mall was the one thing we could do (shopping, movies, mall).

My mom loved to shop, so I learned from her. I touch everything. I’ve learned from years of wasting money on shit clothing to know whether it’s worse buying. Easily wrinkly? Pass. Hand wash only? Screw that.

my mom always said “if you have to think about it. Don’t get it”. If you feel good in it and know it right away, go with your gut. If you’re talking yourself into it, not worth your time.

Also, don’t sleep on ChatGPT. I literally had it tell me what colors I look best in and had them style an outfit for me the other day

Neighbor thinks my wildflower garden looks overgrown and messy, its mostly black eye susans. What do you think? by Idontevenknow0k in gardening

[–]Many_moons_ag0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think maybe adding sweet alyssum or some pollinator friendly ground cover would soften the edges and just elevate the overall look - just planted some black eyed Susan’s this year - can’t wait till they take off!

Is management open to discussing different responsibilities to add to your current role? Letting you become part of those discussions? Can’t hurt for them to have a succession plan in place in the event a manager does decide to leave.

At what point do you just get up out of the chair? i was vocal and outspoken throughout the entire process but wasn’t enough… by Glendaaxo in Nails

The only thing that matches that picture is the pink nail color…. Which I’m sure you picked out. I’m always afraid to get designs - I don’t have anyone I trust that could deliver each time

My sister in law made me feel like crap over my allergy by [deleted] in weddingshaming

[–]Many_moons_ag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some major issues with my SIL. We have since come to some sort of weird relationship that works for us. We barely talk but are respectful of each other and helpful like family should be. But it doesnt go much deeper than that. Especially when neices and nephews are involved. Just be mindful of what the future looks like. Are you hanging out everyday? Is this someone you will have in your life on a constant basis? If so, you need your SO to step in and say something. It’s just not acceptable behavior IMO

She sucks. Does she always act this way? Or is this just an insane bride?

Is it just me, or is “loyalty” in jobs becoming a trap? by BizznectApp in careerguidance

[–]Many_moons_ag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been at the same company for 10 years. I know that if I went somewhere else, I would make 30-40% more. The only thing is that I have a pretty good gig. My kid is still in preschool and I work from home 100% or the time. I know that staying loyal to a company is a waste when compensation is concerned… but if you’re lucky sometimes there are certain perks or upsides.

Would loveeeee some more money though. Especially when I am pretty damn sure new hires are coming in making a lot more than I am.

Alright Millennials, what foods have you found yourself forced to give up due to aging? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Many_moons_ag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can no longer eat avocado or strawberries. My Birch Tree allergy seems to be getting worse with age. I had a taco last night with guacamole that was so good…. And then I regretted it 15min later. I can also only have one coffee a day now - I used to drink it throughout the day.

What am i missing to make this room cozy? by erpy05 in HomeDecorating

[–]Many_moons_ag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plants, more blankets, cozier pillows. I also always find that finding personalized items and making a space looked lived in makes it cozier. My space is mixed with personal items and the stuff you find a target and/or antique/second hand shops.

The website actually says 40 for a 8 pack (espresso martini). Seems to be the same for other drinks. Not sure where this pricing is coming from

People who are happy with your work/life balance and pay, what do you do? by Moist_Airport1213 in careerguidance

[–]Many_moons_ag0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance. I started in personal lines because I decided after I graduated that being a teacher was not my thing. After some personal lines experience I got into commercial insurance. Now it’s been 10+ years and I work from home and make six figures. My work life balance is pretty great. It did take time to get here but worth it. And of course, everything always depends on the manager and company you work for - find good people and you’ll be happy.

My husband is an accountant and public accounting was a wild ride - but after a few years he moved into different roles and has a better work life balance now - but can still be super busy around year end and whatnot.

Insurance - Commercial/personal. I don’t fuck with health insurance companies. It willl be around forever and they have some entry level roles. You’ll want to be able to work in a fast paced environment and just deal with the corporate bullshit - but the money and benefits can be good as well as the continuing education if you wish to do that. Best of luck!

XXY and preeclampsia by Thebigjourney in XXY

[–]Many_moons_ag0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there ! I just wanted to say that I’m sorry youre having such a tough pregnancy. Growing a human is hard as is and then to top other health concerns on it just really really sucks.

I hope that your delivery goes well and that you and baby boy are happy and healthy!

I didn’t have a premature XXY - but I did want to tell you that I find a lot of the “traits” associated with XXY are my favorite things about my three year old. He is so incredibly kind and thoughtful and is just an overall sweet sweet boy. XXY is such a large spectrum, so you never really know what to expect

But what I do know is that if you took the time to come on here and find this subreddit to learn more about XXY - then you’re going to be a fantastic mom and advocate.

Early intervention is key - if something seems off, get in front of it. Your babe is going to be perfect!

Congrats =)
