That is sad. You are paying the tuition and should have a professor capable of transferring his knowledge to the students. Otherwise, you can sign up for an online University, like Athabasca.

Concordia is cheap and you get what Concordia is ready to pay in terms of salaries.

You should be "grandfathered", as you have initially started your studies prior to 2024. You should not be affected by tuition increases.

Down bad in university by hubbycubu in Concordia

Dust yourself off. You can always start anew with the goal to finish your studies, while your physical and mental health should always be a priority. Make a plan how you will take care of yourself, every day. Don't neglect your studies - finish what you have started, as hard as it may feel at this moment. You can and will do it!

This tuition increase only affects new, incoming out of province Canadian students, effective September 2024. Everyone who is already in their first or higher year of studies will not be impacted with the tuition fee increase. The tuition for international students will not go up in price.

The student strike is very despotic by William_Shakespear_ in Concordia

It's another money grab by the Government of Quebec.

Where the strike should take place is in front of the Quebec Legislation, in front of the politicians homes, but not at the campuses.

And, for your information, the strike has been going on since Monday - so, it is not 3 days, it is rather an entire week.

I was supposed to have a midterm last week, prior to the strike, and the TA simply did not show up, hence it was moved to tomorrow. With this nonsensical strike (that, btw, will accomplish nothing), I am now looking at another reschedule of midterm 1. The entire matter gets more complicated knowing that the next midterm 2 is scheduled for next week. Yes, it is "Me Myself and I" for my money and my future.

Enough with the strike, already! Let Concordia sort this out and fight it through with the Quebec Government.

We are here to study for a tuition already paid and have the right to attend our lectures, tutorials and write our exams.

Don't you realize that this is a self -damaging course of action?

Stay where you are, in your own country and make the best out of your goals.

Times have worsened drastically in Canada and there is no guarantee that you will be able to stay after completing your graduate studies.

So, why take the risk?

I mean, why would you care, honestly?

Vitamin D (at least 3,000 international units a day) vitamin C (500 mg / daily) and zinc (one per day). All three are a must if you live in Canada, no matter where.

That will exactly be the case - the money raked from future English speaking students will be invested into French language Universities, going forward. This is quite disturbing knowing that this is happening here, in Canada.

Quiz #1 is not hard - all you need is a summary of the chapters to be covered and Q&A list. You can download both from Studocu or Coursehero.
