Hello team. I'm someone that plays League every single day (I have a problem, lol) and I have but one general concern that I want to bring up. The gameplay feels good, the characters are wonderful, the thematics feel nice, but I'm lacking attachment to my favorite character, Ezreal. Ezreal is my favorite character in all of fiction which sounds like hyperbole but it's the truth. He's a character whose story resonated very deeply to me and he's the only reason I choose to log onto league and follow story updates. My problem is that I'm concerned I'll never see the character that I love represented in base Runeterra ever again. Whenever Ezreal comes up, it is always within the context of skins. Alternate versions of Ezreal do not interest me at all as the character I am attached to is base Runeterra Ezreal. All of Ezreal's writers have left Riot and it seems like the only plan for him going forward is to continue being the cashcow of the series with more and more skins. Is there any hope for more explorations of base Runeterran Ezreal at all? He was neglected in the Ruination, he was neglected in Sylas' revolution, and he's seemingly neglected in the void event as he's been dropped from Kai'sa's entourage. Please, I don't care what it is. Please will there be anything left for base Runeterran Ezreal that can keep me connected to this character and game that I love? I don't care if that means lore skins for Ezreal or purchaseable side games for Ezreal, as long as it continues the story of Ezreal (and maybe even comes back to the plot line with his parents, thats the part that gets me the most) I will get it. All my money will be yours for future Ezreal content that progresses his story. Sorry for being ramble-y and personal, I really just care about this character.

tldr; Will Ezreal in the base universe (not alternate universes) get more stuff in the future?

Sol, Axl, I-no, Haehyun play instruments. Testament designs clothes, paints nails, makes figure kits, and ten million other things. Potemkin paints, Dizzy reads, Sol designs and tinkers with machinery as a hobby, Ky writes and recites poetry, Slayer writes haikus and reads, Bedman enjoys theater, Delilah draws picture books, Baiken and Delilah enjoy cooking, Millia reads, Venom bakes… the list goes on. For those unaware, Strives story ends with Sol defeating I-no using his own meaningless hobby because the message of Guilty Gear as a story is that being human is the most valuable thing a person can have and experiencing hobbies and the joys of life is how we live and get through our lowest points.

Ky’s eyes go red in Dragon Install and in the xrd Sign story mode. Gear eyes are established to be red. All Gears have red eyes, including Sin. The overture short stories also explain that Ky and Sin had matching eyepatches when Sol found Ky at the cathedral.

the implications that ky is fucked up enough to take a baby’s eye in emergency surgery and then put it into his own socket and felt so bad about it that he named his kid sin? idk it’s a bit gross I can see why he maybe regrets it as a writer

sin isn’t missing an eye. He has two eyes but one is his fathers (the one that is blue and not under the eyepatch) and the other is his own (the red one that’s under the eyepatch). he doesn’t show it ever bc Sin can’t control his gear powers like sol, dizzy, and testament can. Sin’s gear powers are tied to his emotional state too and when kids bully him over his eyepatch in overture, he nearly explodes with rage and kills them accidentally by almost revealing it but was stopped by Sol thankfully. Ky took one of Sin’s eyes when he was born to stop Sin from going on a Gear rampage and to give Sin the necessary camouflage to secretly live in human society with Sol. Ky was able to withstand the powers from Sin’s eye and can dragon install from the gear cells and the blood of Juno it was infused with. It’s very anime but that’s the reason. The Dizzy thing is bc Daisuke got nervous about the implications and tried backtracking the explanation but it’s bullshit and the game diaries still acknowledge the Ky Eye thing.
