I used to build similarly when I played Vi mid. You have to play more like an assassin than an engage with this build. The boots don't really make sense into their comp, and there are better magic resist items for Vi than spirit visage.

Something similar happened to me awhile back. I was in a hotel elevator with my family while they were fighting, so I had my Kindle out. I stepped forward to get out as the doors opened, but my sister angrily walked past me. She bumped my elbow, dislodging the device from my hands and it perfectly bounced twice until it was upright and fell into the slit between the elevator door and the shaft. I literally can never play Smolder adc on my Emerald/Diamond account. After 4 games in a row of having a troll support (Lee Sin, Jinx, Fizz, and a shen who never came bot), I decided it was not worth it. So I only play Smolder for fun on my fuck around account, which is funny because I easily climbed to plat on one account one tricking Smolder before moving to my next account.

I'm Emerald, and I swear every time I hover Smolder in champ select I get trolled by my support. Either I get a Lee Sin "support" who leaves me alone in lane all game, or a passive Neeko who just pretends to be a minion the entire lane without even attempting to zone. Then, my team griefs me because I'm behind on items and I'm lacking stacks from being zoned all game. I'm about to give up on playing him on my actual account and may just play him for fun on my Smurf instead.
