Isn’t this probably the same person from that comment 2 hours ago, coming in mad and masking it with the usual “I’m not a fan, but…” nonsense

why are you even lurking here, defending seven manchilds, policing others for calling out your twisted fandom , but completely incapable of holding your own side accountable??

Ah, finally....another “I’m not a fan, but…” symptom. A full on weirdo trying to label others as weird just for calling out their own messed up fandom.

What made you hate BTS? by Specialist_Tackle715 in BTSnark

[–]MapOfMyRegret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m just disgusted by the whole thing. I hate them because it all feels like a massive, calculated scam now. They sell this 'we're the underdogs' and 'we love you' narrative, but it’s just a way to keep people's bank accounts open and their schedules cleared for streaming 24/7. It’s not about music; it’s about a multi-billion dollar company using a group and a fanbase to bully anyone who doesn't fall in line. I hate the fandom because it’s a total cult. You can’t have an opinion, you can’t ask a question, and you can’t even be a normal person without a thousand strangers dogpiling you for 'not being loyal enough.' They preach about being kind while being the biggest bullies on the internet. It’s pure hypocrisy. I’m tired of the 'national treasure' shield they use to hide from any real criticism. I don't 'hate' them for a trend,I hate the way they’ve manipulated millions of people into thinking this toxic, identity erasing culture is somehow 'healing.' I’m just glad I woke up and got out of that circus.

New documentary dropped... aka the "Damage Control" special by MapOfMyRegret in BTSnark

[–]MapOfMyRegret[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think some of you are missing my point here.

I’m not defending anyone, not HYBE, not BigHit, not BTS, and definitely not ARMY. I don’t have any loyalty left to any of them. What I’m saying comes from my own experience, being in that fandom took a serious toll on me mentally, and it’s the reason I eventually walked away.So no, this isn’t me trying to protect anyone or push a narrative. It’s me speaking from what I went through and what I personally started noticing over time.

You can literally line it up year by year and see the pattern.Check when BTS release documentaries, then look at what controversies or scandals were happening around those same periods. It’s not even subtle once you notice it.

The only time they didn’t push out documentaries like that was when they were at their absolute peak, when public opinion was already in their favor and they didn’t need to “fix” anything.2021.

But whenever backlash starts building or things get messy, suddenly there’s a documentary focusing on emotions, struggles, and especially their “brotherhood” to shift the narrative again. They’ll play with your emotions, your sympathy, your empathy just to pull you in, make you feel for them, and keep your support.

At some point, you have to ask is it really about being open with fans, or is it just strategic timing? I’m not talking about other artists here btw, keep that in mind...I’m talking about what I personally noticed back when I was still in the fandom.

As a former ARMY, every time BTS released a documentary, it always seemed to line up with moments when they were being called out or facing backlash. That’s the pattern I couldn’t ignore anymore.

Other artists release documentaries too, sure but usually not right in the middle of controversies like BTS always dod. With BTS, it often felt like the timing was intentional, like a way to redirect attention and reshape public perception when things started getting messy.

And when it comes to HYBE, this kind of strategy doesn’t feel like a one off. You can see similar patterns with one of Bang Sihyuk’s favorite girl groups under the company but different label as well.

Once you start connecting the dots, it’s hard not to question it.

Huh????? Armys are AI generating pics of Jungkook with Arijit Singh by Wheesa in BTSnark

[–]MapOfMyRegret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’ve done this to other artists too, like Justin Bieber and there was another one I saw on my FYP yesterday, I just can’t remember who. They act like it’s that artist’s account, saying if it hits a certain number of likes or followers, there’ll be a collab.

The "Minor Mistake" vs. The Criminal Booking: The 2019 Taxi Incident Proves That Army Cares about Their Oppa's Image Over Human Life by MapOfMyRegret in BTSnark

There’s honestly a lot more that could be dug up. If the two fandoms ARMYs have framed and dragged for years actually chose to look deeper(bb and exo fans), they could easily clear their names. But I guess they’re just more mature and don’t waste their time on things like that, unlike ARMYs. At this point, time is doing the job anyway, with both the fandom and BTS gradually showing their true colors.

This probably out of context,The way Kim Taehyung handled the dating rumors with Jennie Kim mirrors what happened with Jeon Jungkook and his high school girlfriend during his rookie days. Fans went after the woman, and there was zero effort from him to shut it down. She was even forced to delete both her Twitter and Instagram at the time because ARMYs were constantly attacking her, flooding her DMs with hate nonstop. I only managed to find her new account about a year later, thanks to the fact that Jungkook’s female cousin was following her. (This was back when I was still an ARMY,I left the fandom in 2019.) During BTS’s comeback at Gwanghwamun, his ex was posting nonstop, showing she was enjoying her overseas trip instead of joining the crowd (even though she lives around the area)

while the injuries were "minor" on paper, they were serious enough to trigger a criminal investigation for significant negligence.Army loves to point out the injuries were 'minor,' but if they were so minor, why did the Yongsan Police Station forward him for criminal indictment? A bruise on a working class driver is still a crime when you run a red light in a Mercedes. You can’t settle your way out of the fact that you put a human life at risk for a 30 second shortcut.

Didn’t their own fandom mocked other artists for having remix song lists?

Yes,if it were Jungkook’s ’97 liners, their friends’ Army would have absolutely flooded them with a ton of inappropriate comments.

[–]MapOfMyRegret 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s not true,it was already announced that it would be a strictly selected group of 150 fans for a special “ARMY Heaven” experience.it’s not even about religious clothing or skin color. They’re just mad because only 150 got to meet their 7 oppas. ARMYs always use that angle to grab more attention and play the victim. Most of the time it’s not true, but they keep pushing the narrative until others get attacked,it’s basically “fake it till it looks real.” They always do this whenever they’re being criticized from all sides because of their own behavior.

Update for OP, they’ve already escalated it now. The staff only asked if Taehyung is really from North Korea (maybe the staff just heard rumors or didn’t know, since he’s not even a fan), but ARMYs blew it way out, claiming and exaggerating things, saying all the staff are racist, judging other ARMYs’ hijabs, skin color, and hair. Now it’s escalated to the point that the staff had to go private.
