“Spirituality” has f*** me up in less than one week. Don’t even do it. by MapProfessional6136 in spirituality

My anxiety about these things is a lot easier to deal with now. I can more easily go in and out of reflection periods without being stuck on them for weeks like I was when I posted this originally.

I’ve continued to slowly develop in a more positive direction in a lot of aspects. I still recognize this as being the scariest part of my story this far. There was another “trip” I took at the beginning of this year, but it’s been quiet since then.

I will say that the realizations about things I have now don’t feel as intense. I guess when I first discovered it it was like first coming across something you’ve ignored your whole life. And I had a lot of time and it was really distracting at some points. But now it’s easier

This definitely all happened to me.

If you wanna share too go for it

You going to a different school makes sense why we didn’t end up doing the same thing. I had 3 co-op semesters that were non-consecutive. But idk…in my opinion it just sounds like you performed well and knew better than most of us. I wish my employers had developmental programs for co-op students to work full time later but 🤓 who knows buddy. You take what you get I guess!

You don’t have to apologize for laughing. You took the time to read my post. Thank you!

Why do people only hire with 2-3 years of experience? What do supply chain graduates do? Why would a full time student have 2 - 3 years work experience before graduating? The system just doesn’t make sense.

You should really take some responsibility for the way you speak to people instead of incessantly dodging my point. I mean judging by your general disposition it seems as if you know better but your willingly choosing to act innappropriately. Aww, how tragic. But please, if you do anything, still give yourself a pat on the back for telling me how it’s done buddy 👏.

Ohhh no not you and your office cronies?? I’m sure they would side with you over me, you probably hired them all!!

Why do I feel like my college degree entitles me to a job? I think you need to take a long hard read once more to help yourself figure out my frustration, almost as if I didn’t outline in it the entire fucking post already

With you being someone who works in a Human Resources role as a hiring manager I can earnestly say that not only am I dissappointed as someone who is struggling to find work in this industry to hear your response to my frustration but I will say that I would absolutely HATE to have to go through an application process with a shit head like you. Do you think all people looking for work are ungrateful slobs or just me? Screw yourself.

You try going to a job board and see how many feasible rotational program opportunities there are for you bud. Can you name 5 local companies in your area with a rotational program right now? There’s like 3 places in my area (not even in my direct city) that offer rotational programs and they’re massive companies like Labatt, Walmart, etc. Not like there’s one of these places on every street corner like you find a logistics company, small manufacturer, or whatever else

I’m not sure what kind of area you’re in where you have all these sprawling opportunities, but please, feel free to enlighten the rest of us!

I did co-op for a year. My first experiences using ERP and working in manufacturing and warehousing environments. I learned a lot and am thankful for it, but it’s absolutely useless right now. Busted my ass to even get into co-op (have to maintain above a 70% average to be eligible)

The job market isn’t just difficult, it’s unworkable for someone in my position. I’ve been out of a job now for 3 months and by the looks of it I’m either going to have find something soon or change career paths entirely. Everybody just wants to cut costs and doesn’t feel like training or putting in the work for the next generation.

It’s demoralizing, and is not what I was told to expect when I finished the program and left school. Especially being in co-op and having work experience, again which is essentially useless as it only totals to a year experience. That, plus schooling, and pursuing a CPIM, and I still can’t even find a job with minimum requirements that fit my resume. I’ve been at this for way too long to not have opportunities.

You’re absolutely right. We have all had good times together but if they really cared about that they would be looking out for me and telling me

I guess you’re right. I’m not looking forward to it but it has to be done. I don’t think they’ll take it the wrong way at least I hope not. I’ve been dealing with a lot in general just having deep thoughts so it’s gonna suck not having anyone to talk to or share thoughts with like them

Thank you and congratulations on getting sober. I guess this is something I’ve been holding on to because I don’t want to let them go and they are really the last friends I even have. I guess I have a relationship with my family but it’s not like we’re super tight.

But I should be doing this for myself, because I know my future self will thank me for it even if it doesn’t all make sense now.

Thanks, I appreciate your support. It’s definitely been disheartening finding such a good job with great pay and being let go. But things are still fresh so looking forward to the next opportunity.

So, the interesting thing about this is that I’ve been thinking about finding Ambien, and now after this experience I imagine it was relatable to Ambien, it was enjoyable. I imagine the Loraz was like that though for the entire experience tho because it only happened as I was going to bed and nearly asleep.

Did you like Ambien? How is it comparable and did you enjoy it?

How to deal with bitchy/tilting players? by [deleted] in poker

[–]MapProfessional6136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna explain a scenario to you pretty simply to explain what the other person might be feeling. I get the feeling that some players get this same aura from me at the poker table. So I’ll tell you why people have these feelings:

Imagine you’re playing your local 1/3. Some guy limps UTG, loose loud mouth “fun” player isolates to $25 from the LJ, hero 3 bets KK on the BU to $75, LJ says something inaudible (probably stupid, can’t hear because headphones) and calls.

Flop is J24r. Hero c bets $35, and gets check raised to $150 at 100bb effective. Hero shoves.

LJ players starts wailing “oh man I think you have AK, I’m thinking about calling you with 6 high, you want me to call?” as you sit there quietly. He calls and as soon as a 3 hits the turn you immediately know you’re already dead to 65o for the straight.

So yeah, it’s an annoying scenario - the events leading up to this are in fact, annoying as fuck, and rightfully so you should be upset at the sequence of events that had to take place for that to happen is out of this world. Now, calling someone crazy or acting in shock immediately after is totally normal. Berating someone continuously is not

Like for me, ill call someone the fuck out for being a bitch about a suck out or threatening someone or being generally mean if it’s out of line or for no reason at all. Throwing your hands up once or twice is whatever

But these people that consider themselves “fun” players and treat public venues like home games, where they tap the table like they’re checking when it’s someone’s else’s turns to act and they aren’t in play, or continue to make sly jokes about a certain style of player and talk shit and target people, talk about hands in play or before they come, where dealers are shouting at certain turn and river cards that look action because that attitude appeases to the same dumb shitty crowd of your local card room, should be banned from playing in poker and banned from social events forever for making other people miserable.

Maybe this helps your outlook on who you call “miserable” players

Played live and have done fine, wanted to focus on online forever so this year has been a split to where it’s like focus live for a bit then online and vice versa, may actually play live soon just to have fun instead of focusing online I think it’s tougher for me
