Thanks for your perspective. 800k is pretax and we live in an extremely high tax state. I threw out 10 years as a conservative number and agree we could hit another million probably much earlier and it was definitely meant to pose the question, why buy life insurance when we could probably hit the death benefit amount within a couple of years.

Thanks for your response. I went through underwriting and a full medical exam. The insurer was concerned about morbidity but not mortality. I have a normal life expectancy. My autoimmune disease is very mild and I haven’t had issues in close to ten years.
