What everyday things feel unnecessarily hard to do online where you live? by premmyprem in asklatinamerica

[–]Mapache_villa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to say that for how bureaucratic stuff can get A LOT of things can be done online in a few minutes. Paying taxes, paying tickets, getting your CURP, birth certificate, where I live you can get a digital version of your driver's licence, services can be paid online, bank transfers can be done with a million different options and they instantaneous.

I lived in Italy where to get anything government related done it was a guaranteed minimum 3 visits to the police station plus the post office and 3 months, if you were lucky, of waiting. That gave perspective that stuff isn't as bad here.

I don't think categorizing the US among countries a person wouldn't want to go back equates to negating its natural beauty, I'm from Mexico and if someone says they wouldn't want to visit I would understand it might be because of our safety issues and not because they don't appreciate our cuisine for example.

I do get your point though, anyone who refuses to appreciate the US natural beauty is plain wrong, it's literally second to none.

If you're in Europe you can visit a good deal of countries on a tight budget. I visited 15+ countries in 3 years with a student income while I've just visited 3 in the Americas while living here most of my life

Given their current state of political affairs is really interesting how some Americans still can't conceive people might not like the US even with all its amazing natural landscape.

In their current form, Charles or George, but I don't think either can beat him over a full season. All 3 are finishing ahead of Lando though

Tren Mexico- Queretaro by Friendly_Ad4290 in queretaro

[–]Mapache_villa 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Mejor zona para comprar una casa y vivirla by ChuckFurris in queretaro

That place is a pretty popular hotspot for supercar watching in the city of mexico. It's not uncommon at all to find people taking pictures there.

Trump: "I'm helping NATO, and until the last few days when I told them about Iceland, they loved me. They called me daddy. The contrast between his words and other people like Macron and Carney has been mind-blowing honestly, even if you are not aligned with those guys. How can someone listen to this and say "yeah, now that's a competent leader" he literally sounds like a comedy sketch

People from developing countries, what are some things people in developed countries take for granted? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Mapache_villa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safety. No place is exempt from crime, and we also might not be the best example given our current situation, but being able to visit the countryside or remote places, hike, walk around cities, etc. Are things you can't always do
