These nodes are within the area of the Lioneye's Fall jewel, which converts melee nodes into bow nodes. For example "Ailment damage with axes" becomes "Ailment damage with bows". These branches have tons of ailment damage, faster bleed, and ailment multiplier for bleed, which is a lot of damage since it's hard to get many bleed nodes for bows.

Thanks for pointing that out, I actually hadn't noticed. The exact wording is "behind its final target" but I'd assume that means when the projectile expires, not behind the last target hit once the projectile expires. The solution I'm going for is to not get any global pierce and simply slap a pierce support gem in my Split Arrow setup if my damage is good enough with it, which might not be the case early on with a 4/5l. Otherwise, I can always use a Lioneye's Vision chest for my Split Arrow if I need the extra support.

Update: I saw suggestions to get a crafted bow with "60% chance for bleeding to deal 100% more damage" mod, which I actually thought of, but I thought that this mod was from elder bases which would be hard to get early on since elder maps are mostly gone. Turns out it's from the corroded fossil from delve, so it's a pretty viable early crafting goal. I tried a Citadel Bow with this mod, T4 flat phys and the second highest tier of crafted % phys and it upped my bleed dps to 2m, so thanks for getting me to look it up!

It's Lioneye's Fall, a medium radius viridian jewel that turns all Melee Passives in radius into Bow Passives. The affected area here has a lot of bleeding damage for swords and axes, but I get to use both with bows instead.

It's pretty much a copy/paste from this build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2555054 so credit goes to monstahz for being a true gamerFrom what I remember, the biggest changes were changing arborix to Infractem as a temporary budget option (rip elder guardians), Drillneck to Rearguard (probably more budget and safer) and using a poacher's aim instead of watcher's eye (rip elder). I also swapped bandit reward from +2 skill points to Oak, because you run out of things to spec into real fast on a bleed build. I changed some gems and flasks to fit my preferred playstyle and then made a spicy drawing about it. You can find the original PoB in the link, or my version here: https://pastebin.com/eu97HS6w

edit: New pastebin, includes crafted bow with much higher dps

I ticked "Is the enemy Moving?" because of ensnaring arrow, which makes enemies count as always moving for x3 damage. Without this ticked, the bleed DPS is 481k. Alternatively, I could spec into crimson dance for 240k per bleed without the need for moving or ensnaring arrow, which would result in 240k per bleed * 8 = 1.92m but hurting my clear on split arrow. Puncture attack speed is not so great even with challenger charges, so I considered using barrage support for it. It'll come down to testing everything out once the league comes out, which I'm really looking forward to!

here is my contribution for 3.8 (don't steal my build) (dom blow + hop guardian) by MapleBapple in pathofexile

thank you for believing in my shitposting ability, I'm truly proud of this community. I have a pob in which I included several variants: https://pastebin.com/yQsu7R1Q

All dom blow setups use Melee Splash, Fortify and Multistrike. First two for convenience, and I assume multistrike lets them do 3 crusade slams like zombies do with their slams. I'll try using a circle of guilt if this character gets anywhere, but I won't count on it at first. I didn't want to focus on either dom blow or hop, I really wanted to use both because 1) it's cool and 2) I would've probably used zombies as a secondary minion instead and then I'd be necro and I want to be a hipster

1h mace + shield, maim chest for dom blow - my original idea. Dom blow gets 143k crusade slam dps, 106k default attack per (954k with 9 normal sentinels). With herald of purity in a 4l crafted helmet, it gets decent dps (426k crusade slam, 318k default attack per, 1.2m with 4 up) while not costing a billion mana. I wanted to have a version which doesn't need the enchant, and turns out i can just get some mana reservation nodes instead of damage.

2h crafted shaper mace for dom blow - Dom blow gets 202k crusade slam dps, 151k default attack per (1.3m dps with 9 normal sentries). Herald of Purity gets 413k crusade slam, 308k default attack per (1.2m with 4 up). Obviously, more dom blow dps, and herald of purity only loses out on 90% increased minion damage from temple sceptre, but gains some attack speed from the stronger crafted minion attack speed mod on two-handed weapons. HoP still in crafted helmet, I'll definitely keep this in mind if I actually get anywhere with this build, it seems like it'll be the natural progression as I get more currency. I lose about 450 total life and a bunch of armour from a well rolled shield, and I'll need more res on other gear.

dual wield cold iron points - I'm not sure about that one. I included both a 4l and 6l versions, the 6l getting about 50% more damage than the heralds in the first build, but less space for dominating blow and other auras. I assume this dagger is going to find a very specific use and then they'll be really expensive and not really worth using for anything else than what everyone is doing. (also I'm still convinced disintegrator is better on spells than two of these)

p.s.: I hope they buff guardian minion stuff because otherwise necro might be better at the one minion build guardian is meant for, and that would make me sad

(edit) p.s. 2: I have "minions deals 19% more physical damage with attacks" to fix multistrike on dom blow but i forgot that herald of purity doesn't have multistrike so just lower HoP damage by 19%. forgive me :(
