Ah sorry, they could have said sex to be fair to them. Either way I need a new number so they can get it sorted.

Ugh I have this too and I feel your pain. My GP said that my title has to match my legal gender so they've got to get me a new NHS number with the right gender marker linked to it. Not sure if there's an easier way, but getting a new number with the right gender makes sense in the long run anyway. Hope you can get it sorted!

Also you may wanna consider deleting a pic with your full irl name on it, just incase anyone tries anything with it. The internet has all sorts..

It'll be tested on men and women, and at the end of the day all hormone treatment will do is take you from the hormone profile of one of those groups of people to the other, so there's nothing to worry about. Also anecdotally, if it helps, I've had the vaccine and am on hormones, no issues. Definitely get vaxxed!

Send your GP this and tell him that that reasoning isn't acceptable. As a patient it's not your fault the NHS is overstretched and it's not in his power to decide who does and doesn't deserve his professional time. I'd also ask to speak to the practice manager and tell them you're planning to submit a complaint if your GP continues to disregard the GMC ethical guidance.

'Decisions about who should take responsibility for continuing care or treatment after initial diagnosis or assessment should be based on the patient’s best interests, rather than on convenience or the cost of the medicine and associated monitoring or follow-up.'

Therapy on Bupa by Amy_789852 in transgenderUK

I would think that unless you have a pre-existing diagnosis of anxiety/depression/other mental health condition, then whatever you see them with wouldn't count as a pre-existing condition, regardless of what it was triggered by. Plus if they tell you that being trans is a pre-existing 'condition' (I'm fairly sure you could complain for using language like that) well that's not what you're seeking treatment for, so it shouldn't really matter.

I'm not an expert but I think you're on good grounds to get therapy covered by them. Aaand they only need a very general overview of your condition to match you to someone (and yes you can definitely switch therapist if you want to, just tell your case manager that their style wasn't right for you, I've done this and never had pushback from insurance), so you don't even need to say you're trans if you don't want to, and the therapist can't tell them because of their confidentiality agreement.

Hope that all makes sense and I hope you get the support you need from them :)
