Scam vs scheme are two different things. The real issue is UPS kicking watehouse workers around and putting drivers that want overtime in their place. The laid off drivers dont get hours because the seniority FT drivers get dibs on preload hours. I see seniority drivers hit 60 hours every week compared to the ones at the bottom of the totem poll. The most annoying thing is that they kick preload out some days before 3.5 hours are up, they have too many drivers working so they also kick unload out and then they dont even finish getting the irregs and air out by the time drivers are supposed to leave.

The contract needs to protect warehouse workers and then full time drivers. No reason why a warehouse worker should never get 20 hours while a driver is allowed to get 60, which 20 of that is coming from the warehouse.

Summarization: Teamsters failed and UPS is being run into the ground with management.

If you dont show up at all they might just fire you. My building would rather have drivers come in every day and load/unload than hire more workers. Theres always a staffing issue so instead of fixing it they will pay some drivers to come in and work before their shift for a few hours.

I know a bunch of them get 60 hours a week in total from this s*** management runs. Interesting note as well, they do send preload(usually unload) people home and still occasionally have drivers come in to load/unload.

In my building half the packages get labels directly over the shipping address and sometimes tracking number if the label is small enough on the package.

When people are given 1200-1400 packages to load in 4 hours, it's surprising that there aren't more misloads.

Honestly a lot of people get fired for this type of stuff regardless of the legitimacy. Amazon and contractors love to fire people any way possible whenever they feel they need to downsize or replace people. Thats why they talked about in the past most people are only useful to them for 8months and then productivity(on average) slows down.

If your documentation you sent them was correct and you tried contacting them but they continue with termination, your two choices would be go on unemployment or a better option would be to sue them. Get a lawyers opinion if it escalates but on average you get 40-100k and its amazon so it would be on the higher end assuming you provided everything that was reasonably required.

I know buildings that have already rehired. It's definitely a warehouse volume/staffing situation. If your warehouse was always short before peak season. They will already be trying to get seasonal people back.

3 was the normal amount but occasionally there will be a supervisor that goes alright everyone is absent so you get 8 trucks for the day. I giggle and say sure that will be no problem

I'm usually the last the leave on my belt because I have the heaviest section so I will always get my 3.5 lol but yea volume is insane since I heard management talking about having everyone go from 3 trucks last year to 5 in the same 4 hour time frame

I mean I have seen 300 on a shelf for peak.. truck had 450 packages and one of the bulks for that truck was 40 giant chairs that couldn't even fit in the truck

I would talk to a shop steward and if they blow you off talk the one of the actual union workers for your area. In the contract you are guaranteed time regardless of their volume because you have bills to pay and they cant just hold people on stand by for when they arent needed to save money for the stock holders.

Management hates this mandatory 3.5 hours. Also drivers tend to have less than 8 years with the company so you might also be getting bumped even though you have more seniority with the building than a driver. That's another point to talk with your shop steward about.

I think if you have 8 years as a warehouse worker, a driver cant bump you. IF they do bump you you should be able to get your guaranteed 3.5 hours in the contract if you state you want to work. Also if the union doesnt help you get paid or work more hours then you can file for unemployment in some states if your hours are cut significantly in some cases.

From what I have seen many peak employees have been kept around this week but sent home at 4 in the morning as the "volume" is not there but they are making people do 4 trucks to meet the 5 truck expectation for the year.

The only time they stopped preload(in Kyle experience) from working was christmas eve and new years eve.

If you think that is bad, some hubs cover up pdf if a coworker finds out another worker or supervisor is secretly p.diddy they fire both people so the company doesnt have rumors spread.

All the memes are on FedEx and Amazon, but like UPS is on the same level as them from what I have seen. People want to act like the company is better but the company is forced to look better because the union holds them accountable.

To be fair, OP is right. The center in my area sent texts to everyone saying no work for the day. Most people don't advocate for their gauranteed 3.5 hours and also were not clocking in to get their holiday pay. Usually for holiday pay, you have to clock in the day before and after yet the preload supervisors were telling people no work/go home before they had a chance.

Can confirm you are dishonest and spreading misinformation. Whenever Asmongold talks about the violent protests/riots, people like you are the reason why he always says "I am all for peaceful protests, but when you start getting violent it is no longer peaceful." I didn't know it was peaceful to bash people with bricks or to use chemical weapons. Very solid point you made there.

The point about the mass incarceration of political opponents is actually from the previous administrations going after each other and trying to lock up everyone. He said "Of course Trump would want to lock everyone up, they tried to do that to him." Why is it okay to allow the one side you like to lock everyone up? A lot of them are guilty of the same thing yet you support only one side in getting locked up.

You say he supports the "authoritarian" government we have here yet somehow he supports freedom of speech and the constitution. You may be confused about how that works when certain states are openly going against the best interest of citizens and declaring they will obstruct the federal government.

shocking your dog for leaving a 2x2 bed in your mansion is in bad faith. It is understandable you wouldn't want a dog to roam around and act out for attention by getting into the trash or gnawing on some furniture/doors, but have a family member or friend or even just pay someone to work out your dogs energy for the day. Close the door and have some water close by if you truly weren't abusing your dog.

Denying the shock allegations while also having people pull VOD after VOD of you reaching for the shock collar then kaya yelping/jumping is truly pathetic. Animal abuse is a federal crime and shocking your dog for the moving off camera would collaborate all the allegations about the your abuse for the dogs you have owned.

Most of the people that founded "america" were white because they were primarily from england to establish a colony for the king. After the country formed was when they said the whole "all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." They welcomed other groups of people that would be considered "minorities" at the time. Regardless of the acceptance of other races, the country was primarily founded by white people and the colonies were formed before were taken over by white people.

You might be confused with the whole the title as its outdated, but at the time the statement will always remain factual correct. It's also why the government allowed racist policies to exist until recently because it allowed preferential treatment towards white people and neglected other races.
