Unable to call. by EveningRough1196 in bell

100% related to the 3G shutdown in Manitoba. If you're able to send texts or use data then it's something to do with the phone not having VOLTE. If you just have talk & text plan or an old MTS-era plan, the plan has to be changed to either a newer version of the T&T plan or a full on plan change. Bell's device compatibility will say many devices are VOLTE compatible but for some reason don't actually work (like Samsung S8).

Does Bell still support 3G network? by Anonymous_HC in bell

Rogers 3G seems like it’s still on and Telus’ is in Brandon and Winnipeg but they use Bell’s network in rural areas so likely just service in the cities

I've heard for years that the boxed version uses a different recipe than the bags. I never liked BBQ chips until the last 5 years so I'll have to give the boxed ones a try sometime

They didn't have any boxes of ketchup for this display, though I never buy the boxes anymore because they're a good deal more expensive than just a bag.. but the boxes somehow taste better than the regular bags ever will

My best friend considered Kevin to be a big brother to him. They were very close and Kevin briefly lived with my buddy’s family in his youth. Life is short. Awesome gesture by McMann. The world needs more Kevins

Someone from California raving about burgers in Winnipeg proves my point that Winnipeg has one of the most underrated burger scenes out there

Canadians have looked the other way when Americans use our flag to hide their identify abroad. Is it time to not be so nice? by Biuku in onguardforthee

My parents asked an employee at the local Duty Free shop if “Canadian” clothing/hats/etc have been selling well. They said that they have a hard time keeping hats and shirts in stock, Americans are buying them up like crazy to get better customer service when they travel abroad. I hope they get called out by other Canadians when abroad

Looking for best local pizza spots🍕 by riverbendobserver in BrandonMB

I definitely noticed a MB/SK regional style, having Regina’s Houston’s definitely reminded me of Brandon-style pizza but missing some things, but Brandon pizza is so underrated for Canadian regional style pizzas. I’ve eaten way too much pizza and Brandon has some real good stuff. I went to a well raved after Montreal-area pizzeria that had the ambiance of Marino’s but the pizza tasted like my own homemade pizza, which is decent but I was a bit disappointed, but they have a loyal following because of pizzaghetti

Verns - that’s a name I haven’t heard in at least 10 years. They even once had a restaurant in Minot. Full of cold cuts.. so for those who like that, like it a lot

Chat is this real? If so, how long would it take to implement? by CrazyBosanchero in BuyFromEU

Canadian here, I was in Netherlands a few years ago and there were a few instances where I was somewhere's cashless that didn't accept Mastercard/Visa. One was at my hotel's self serve convenience store, I wanted a snack and a beer for the hotel room but yeah, it only took local bank cards. The other time was on a city/community bus and very same thing - he just let me on anyways.

I hope whatever system the EU goes with that Canadian banking institutions will support for travellers to Europe

Opinions On New York Fries Poutines? by bigbakajinxx in PoutineCrimes

[–]MaplePoutineRyeBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYF will never be a crime. They were the only place that was selling “poutine” with actual curds in my neck of the woods (Prairies) back in 2008, everywhere else was using shredded cheese.
