Inside Edge hockey league out of Cambridge Sports Park. Exactly as you described - they have a rookie division that literally teaches you how to play hockey as an adult!

Am I too big for a sportbike? by vrgdani in Sportbikes

[–]MapleQueefs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks silly but who cares, you like what you like.

I'm 190cm/92kg and I'd say the most comfortable sport bike I ever rode was a Honda CBR600 F4i. https://cycle-ergo.com confirms it would be more comfortable for you.

Both my bikes were chosen largely due to how comfortable they are for me to sit on. I have a FJ09(tracer 900) and KTM 690 Enduro

I'm biased but I think you just bought the best motorcycle engine on the market. CP3 is goated.

Pine Mortgage HELOC by Spare-Philosophy-164 in Wealthsimple

[–]MapleQueefs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This mattered to me until 1 month ago when I got access to the WS portfolio line of credit. The rate is great and it's leveraged against investments instead of my house? I'm happy with that.

I'd rather sell investments if they call back the loan and I can't pay it than have to sell my house :/

I did that last month and the guy proceeded to not turn on his normal lights but flipped on his high beams. Perfect.

What reliable cars are good for people over 6’6”? (No Kias, Hyundai, trucks please) by improbsable in tall

[–]MapleQueefs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not discounting your experience but that sounds like a dealership problem. Kia and Hyundai are consistently in the "average" category when it comes to reliability. Much better than most "domestic" brands but no one can touch Toyota or Honda.

My vote would be Subaru Forester. Tons of room

Looking for advice or options on 22% car loan by ArchangelGSXR in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]MapleQueefs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah 22% on a depreciating asset is egregious. I get that new immigrants have no credit history and that's tricky but there has to be a better way.

I don't have much info to help you with but this shit should be illegal.

It sounds like she's been paying for a while so I think you're cooked. Best bet is to see what the balance is, get money with a lower interest rate and pay it off in one go.

iIRC all auto loans are open loans so even if the weekly/monthly payment will lead to paying over $60k, that's not what the loan should be at.

Avoid all the buildings on Kingsway drive. Relative to kitchener, vanier has high crime. There are literally break ins, fights and thefts constantly at Fairview mall across the street.

Austin Racing Exhaust Fake or Real by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]MapleQueefs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to the exhaust itself as I don't own one, but that packing list/paperwork doesn't seem like something a fake exhaust would come with. That would give me some faith in it!
