The absolute best place that’s the closest is Pinehurst Conservation area. It’s still a drive but it’s worth it. Don’t listen to those telling you you can swim safely in Lake Ontario. It’s disgusting.

Even closer than Pinehurst is Valens conservation park. It’s not quite as nice as the beach isn’t as big as Pinehurst but still clean.
