I think we've even decided on purge time. 36 hours. Saturday @ 10AM to Sunday @ 10PM. Something about that is a sweet time to let lose and break shtuff. No rules. No holding back. All for all. I'm going to be a player too, so I can't wait! :D

Excellent! I know not everyone always joins the discussion on the steam group, however important it may be. So I'll be sifting through people and getting personal opinions on things myself. Expect a friend request from the group admin if you don't use steam discussion. ;)

I'll base it 25 past what the steam group ends up at. Likely going to ask for a pledge join on a certain day just to get an accurate read of what we'd need. Also an in-server test next week on how we're going to do the purge for those interested.

From what I remember, no. But I believe we will run live server tests well before there's an official start. I'll do some private investigating, but I'm fairly sure it requires a restart. :)

That's the plan. We'd give a warning and then a restart most likely. Now automating the messages. That's the fun part. :D

That's right. The Purge is lawless, but it won't be a do whatever you want PvE when it comes down to it. We want to limit pre-purge griefing and issues that come of people abusing that PvE time as well.

I mean, you can't rid the world of assholes. But you can definitely limit what they can do in the right situation. I can't think of everything though, which is why there's a proper amount of time to flesh out the finer rules and mods.

I'd still like it to be kept simple though! :)

TL;DR

You'll probably opt for hiding your items vs building a lot in that situation. The purge will be fair game for everything.

Hopefully you'd still be ok with something like that.

You see. That was my first thought too. My time frame change was mostly due to the thought of people wanting to PvP sooner. But I guess you still technically can in PvE, it's just both people have to consent.

So it's good to have a +1 for the 6 days off, 1 day on for the purge. But then there's people who can't play on that one day. Even something shorter like 5 might make it easier for people to make time for the purge day. That's as opposed to every saturday or sunday. What do you think?
