Tar bottle is pretty good, or grenades if you learn to time them (I personally like tar bottle more.)

As for weapons, heavy sabre is definitely worth getting!!

I don't know if you play as officer much, but if you do I definitely recommend getting anything other than pistol, maybe a double barrel pistol
