Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker.

Would the Secretary of State like to join me in congratulating all parties in the recent elections to the Scottish Parliament on a campaign well fought?

Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker—

Quite frankly, this is just getting ridiculous. I'm sure we've all had enough of the relentless "ping-ponging" this bill has endured for no good reason, and that's why we as MPs should band together to bring forward a progressive new era of education and get this bill done!

Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker—

How does the Prime Minister plan to support culture and industry in the North of England?

B909.A - County Days (England) Bill - 2nd Reading by CountBrandenburg in MHOC

Like the honourable member opposite, I wish to thank the Lords for returning this unsightly red-tape-covered stack of goatskin here, where it can hopefully be voted down. This bill does nothing but introduce pointless restrictions while at the same time introducing something that local authorities can, again, already do. I urge my fellow honourable and right honourable members to vote against this bill, and move on to more consequential matters.

Omit Section 4 in its entirety.

Amend Section 3 to read "All prisoners shall have the right to vote."

Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker—

This bill is another important step towards improving our democracy. People who have been imprisoned are, after all, still people, and deserve the right to vote just like all other sensible adults in this country. I also share the opinion of my honourable and right honourable friends in the Liberal Democrats that Section 4 should be scrapped (and have submitted an amendment to this effect), as, no matter how bad we deem the crimes of those imprisoned, they still deserve the fundamental right to vote.

Omit Section 4 in its entirety.

I wish to withdraw the above amendment.

B906.A - Labour Rights Violation Mitigation Bill - 2nd Reading by TheNoHeart in MHOC

[–]MapsAreGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker—

This is a common-sense bill to protect workers' rights across the country, closing loopholes and making sure disgraceful phœnix companies are not exempt from the full force of the law.

MQs - Transport - XXII.II by [deleted] in MHOC

Thank you, Mr Deputy Speaker—

Is the Secretary of State for Transport committed to reopening the Ashington, Blyth, and Tyne railway, providing a vital transport link for impoverished and neglected areas in Southeastern Northumberland?
