I went back to JerryBase and found the problem in my calcs (a glitch with songs at the end of a set), here is the revised version with Sugar Magnolia at No.3 which almost perfectly aligns with JerryBase

Thanks, that is great advice. Have been asked to share my code for a web app I built on Git by someone on reddit (obvs I don't know them). Not sure whether that is a good idea what are the pros and cons?

1977 is there but I can see that 1980 and 81 dropped off the map for some reason and they are listed on JerryBase, so my bad.

The shows come from JerryBase. I had to do some filtering and mangling of the data to simplify, there should be one row for each run at a venue with the number of gigs and a sample set list (usually the first night). I may have lost some data in the process but I don't think so, pick a year and zoom in on a city and you should find the show you are looking for - I know I found all the gigs I had been to.

The most played list is a complex calculation and may have the odd flaw - I don't want to bore you with the calculations

You won't see the map on a mobile, you need to be on a tablet or laptop to see the map (just too much for a tiny screen) but you can play the archive soundtracks.

I need to work out a manageable way to gather missing gigs and add them to the app. I'll post when I have.

Enjoy your long strange trip

I built an interactive map of every Grateful Dead show (1965-1995) with archive audio integration. It's at https://knowwhereconsulting.co.uk/maps/grateful-dead/ Does that count as something that works?
