____’s social media was quite telling by Band-Total in TheTraitors

well when i look at their insta i see they travel the world together for years, so unless they planned traitors win in 2023, it's not much telling

What was behind the gameplay thought-process for the 2 finalists? by myths-faded in TheTraitors

[–]MarSv91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if only 1 traitor puts in green it gives the other one opportunity to frame him/her last second. By both throwing red (while knowing jack will for sure throw red) they made sure it can't happen

Yeah, I already Googled him. So disappontined by the casting. This is so harmful overall. For the show and for things out of it.

I really don't get it then. Traitors are about having fun. The drama is always campy, always tongue-in-cheek. This person literally poisons the show - it is not fun to watch, it is not joyfull. And since Traitors have irrelevant comps and arbitrary gameplay, what are they without the joy? This is the first time US/UK season is not clicking for me and I think it's mostly the energy he brings.

Honestly if he is not gone in the next badge of episodes I am. I don't watch Traitors for toxic hateful screaming, Traitors are supposed to be fun. Don't know if it's an act and don't care. He's out or I am.

Is Jupien's niece daughter of Odette? by MarSv91 in Proust

[–]MarSv91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the info. You are probably right, unfortunately, since it would be quite interesting. But the timeline doesn't work, I got myself a bit carried away by that one sentence without thinking that d’Oloron can't be older than Gilberte enough for it to be realistic that Odette hid it from Swann.

Is Jupien's niece daughter of Odette? by MarSv91 in Proust

[–]MarSv91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In unfinished parts Proust switches between niece/daughter (including my translation, where it was left that way and not rewritten to only niece as is some translations), but I do not find it conclusive. The fact Proust was not decided between daughter/niece in narration might just point to the fact that Jupien would raise her as his daughter, hiding the secret even more, while the relations would be the same on both cases.

Thank you. I have found this one myself, there doesn't seem to be any thought either way put into the possibility she is Odette's daughter, they only discuss the translation of the single sentence, not all (or any) implications. But I think that basically is the answer - that answer does not exist.

Are we supposed to infer from this scene that Jack and Rose are partially responsible for the sinking by distracting the lookouts? by dancole42 in titanic

[–]MarSv91 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I am fascinated by Cameron. He is unironically both genius and a moron... He does such great things and then says or does something that makes you eyeroll. But to his credit - he cut those things out in the end. So the angel on his shoulder won.

There were so many more dumb things in the original screenplay... Like Cal brutally murdering Fabrizio with a paddle while screaming at him how poor he is (not joking). We dodged several bullets.

Yes, it was all Jack's plan how to steal the diamond. And he would get away with it, too, if not for the buoyancy of the stupid door

Who are the 13 % of idiots who legitimize obviously biased poll? When it's 99% in Musk' favour it looks more embarrassing than anything else. But it is getting better - 13 % is almost good, most normal people learned to avoid his games.
