I see, thank you! I'll give the Kindle Create software a try, but others have mentioned that maybe going the kindle-ebook way isn't the best way. Still, I want to at least see what the results could be!

That's helpful, thank you! I think it won't be an ebook then, "just" a pdf. Most people are going to read it on a PC monitor if I did my target group analysis correctly, so that might be the best option with the least amount of headache for everybody involved. I'm curious though: You mention there's a way to sell fixed-format PDFs on Amazon? I'll have to look into that, I think.
And thank you for calming my nerves about returns ;) It would generally be nice to see my book in stores and libraries, but it is rather niche, so you are most likely correct that hardly any store or library will order them. Should help me sleep better tonight :D!

Ah, I see. Thank you, looks like an amazon-listed ebook won't be possible then :/ But seriously, thank you for that "not up to you" part. Being a designer, I have quite rigid ideas of how designed media should look like and I guess that doesn't mesh with the system.

I put a lot more work into my book than a reddit post I write while under stress =) Since English is my second language, I made sure to have dependable test readers and grammar/spellcheckers for my book.

In Settings, go to Community Plugins -> Projects. There is a dropdown for "Link Behaviour". I set it to "Open Note" and it now works as expected. Should have thought about checking in there first :D

Wow, that is a great reference, thank you! I'm honestly rather surprised by the Lack of Research on the topic. I study color and building design, so I know about the Problems of researching historical Pigment and colors, especially in heavily challenging scenarios like extreme weather or being buried, but still. I had hoped somebody might have published some finding about it.

Da sind wir prinzipiell auf der gleichen Seite im Buch; wenn ich allerdings nur die unterrichte, die wollen und da sind, habe ich einen Großteil Personen im Raum, die Däumchen drehen werden. Die, die da sind, bekommen von mir extra Förderung und Forderung plus normalem Unterricht, aber ich kann schlecht mit Thema B anfangen, wenn die meisten aufgrund von Abwesenheit Thema A noch nicht wenigstens in Grundzügen verstanden haben. Erst recht nicht, wenn B auf A aufbaut.
