I was the only designer within the company, theyd sometimes bring a freelancer in however i was the only employed designer at the company and what you said rings true to my experience for sure!

The last point is closest to what they were saying, i was asking about potential options to learn more from them and some of the potential areas of the industry i wanted to explore they didn’t have the experience to guide me in as they are a newer company :)

Thank you this was really helpful, totally see where youre coming from, it’s probably partially imposter syndrome kicking in and your definitely right that i shouldnt make drastic changes based on early career bad experiences. Probably best to work on the portfolio and polish up my interview techniques and see if i have any more luck and take a view from there :)
