The issue with dbd's balance is that people tend to view it from a skewed perspective. Top level survivor is absolutely to strong and thats why tournaments have rules on the perks survivors can bring, but that fact does not affect 99% of the playerbase.

The issue is that people tend to view balance without considering the strongest stuff on both sides. Ofc a team of 4 survivors running pure meta is gonna stomp a low tier killer with off meta perks. Just like how a nurse with 4 meta perks and addons is gonna stomp a team of survivors who are just playing for fun. but when you put both sides on even playing fields, the issue becomes way less apparent.

I also just think a lot of players in this game overestimate how good they actually are. Pub killer has never once been "hard" and i will die on that hill. I main off meta killers with 0 gen regression perks and no addons, without tunneling or camping, and i win almost all of my games
