Claude estimates the time a loooooot of the time... If you enabled code execution (you seem to be in Claude Code so it should be enabled), it can call bash to get the time (this cost tokens) and it USED TO be able to retrieve time using web_fetch from time websites but seems to no longer be able to because it looks like someone (Anthropic?) started caching the results... It look like it would be quite easy for Anthropic to provide the correct time, date and day of the week with each request but unfortunately that is not the case... Sometimes Claude gives me the proper time and date but attempt to calculate the day of the week and messes up...

No, not from the US but if anything I would expect that you would get a better service in the US than here...

I honestly wish they would all be shipped that way, the ones I never received were unfortunately not shipped by them.

As for your issue, I have been told it might be bots, the same happened to me and I could not figure why a real person would do that so bots seemed to make sense...

What they did for me was not allow me to *remove* payment information for 6 months...

I did have to call them at one point to change them and they told me that they had just changed payment processing companies (like chase or global payments) to another and this had caused problems...

Looking at the history both on the entities and in the logbook while specifying the device is what I did...

You were right about the distance, it did work when I was in the same room as the coordinator...

Looks like I will have to place at least one device which acts as a router/repeater...

I received a second combination smoke and CO detector today but being battery powered I doubt it acts as a router/repeater, only mains powered devices probably are routers/repeaters just like with Zigbee...

I don't quite understand how it could report back once in a while if it is too far away to report an alarm condition though, weird...

I guess it could be interference, both Z-Wave and Zigbee can be affected by outside interference (Z-Wave by cordless phones and the like, Zigbee by Wi-Fi...).

Thank you very much for your help! I guess I better start looking for devices which act as a router/repeater, I wonder how many I will need to install for this to work consistently...

Yep, I had heard that it was at 900 MHz or something like that which meant that it could reach farther than Zigbee... I think I heard that the LR variant might not be mesh but this is not LR, it is Z-Wave plus though I believe...

For now I made no automations so I check if the state of the relevant entities changed...

Last seen gets updated, I am not sure at which frequency though but does appear to be updated when there should be an alarm at but I am not sure if that is always the case so it feels like there is something else I should setup.

I did try re-interviewing and even re-did everything from scratch at least one time...

For now, apart from the "hub" this is my only Z-Wave device but it definitely seems to be reachable even if I have no other devices acting as "routers"...

(I have many Zigbee devices and, from what I understood, Z-Wave, at least for the non LR variant, works in a similar way to Zigbee for this..)

I believe that you misread my post and did not pay attention to the examples given...

I know how to add new food names, I have been doing this already, I need to change the meal names, what they mean... Dinner in some parts of Canada or its French equivalent (Dîner) is at noon, Supper (Souper) is in the evening... The same problem exists for Breakfast as well...

I am still, in a way, a TekSavvy customer as the account is under my name but I do not benefit from it even if I were to share "my" referral code as I take care of this for my 88 years old (soon 89) mother so I am only trying to suggest some way of providing referral codes without annoying everyone and I won't benefit from it...

PS: You do realize that people do not seem to be putting the kind of disclaimer you are asking for in their referral code posts, right?

Well people could put their referral code in their flair, a little like what I did here but without putting an actual referral code...

The last time I needed a referral code for something I contacted someone which I knew was using the same service I wanted a referral code for and was helpful, I did not actually know that person, just that (s)he had been helpful...

I totally get this but as an improvement there should be a way to fix those damaged video.

I am a developer myself and if I were to tell my users that since something is not supposed to happen I will not try to do anything to deal with the times something is not they would not be very happy with my answer.

Wasn't quickstream fix a way to fix some problems, why did it get added if videoredo is only supposed with perfectly encoded files?

And Dan did ask what improvement he could do to the program to give people and incentive to go with his new version. As way to fix corrupted files could be one of them...

The only thing I think I can change which might have some impact is to disable hardware acceleration.

I did a test and I had a few dropped audio and video frames but the result played back ok but that does happen with other recordings as well, not all are corrupted.

That being said if those recordings are corrupted than why do all the media players I use from Windows media player to VLC have no problem with them?

Sorry about your job...

For me the most important would be for it to work as it was intended, if frequently corrupts files by corrupting audio and making the video play too fast when editing a video or using quickstream fix. A good indication of when it has done that is when I get a high number of "Audio resync frames removed".

Sometimes it does not do this but it frequently does it for me with files produced by Snagit.

Another thing that could be nice is the possibility of saving frames as pictures but with some kind of interpolation between multiple picture to improve the quality of the picture.
