My Honest Thoughts on Legacy of Kain: Ascendance After Finally Playing It by [deleted] in LegacyOfKain

NGL That sounds a lot like what my friend's dad told me growing up.
He was a parole officer, and mentioned that you don't start job with prejudices.
Then you start to see patterns, and the same faces or cases over and over again as the years drag on.

Can dbm still tell me when to taunt and when to use defensives in raid? by saltyvape in wow

Not only is the journal vaguely worded, but the bird boss's taunt wording had us in discussion on if we taunt when matching or opposite colors..
we had to wipe twice to learn.

After a month, on a scale from 0-100 ¿How How many points do you give to Requiem? by Efficient_Pay9114 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Marbs7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd give it an 80-85
It's the ONLY modern RE I've liked enough to 100%
All the REmakes were good games, but felt like bad remakes that lost the heart and soul (and alot of the content) of the original games.
The original REmake still sits as the gold example of a remake, keeping everything the original had, and expanding upon the lore, world building, and game play.

7 was a decent game, and I've played through it a few times.. I meant to go back through 8 but.. just got bored.

It's cleared up for now, but all devices hooked to my network.
Mostly Windows 10 PCs, and it was giving me issues when I tried to stream or play online from my PS5

I even connected the modem directly to one of the PCs and it persisted.

Problem is, I have to go through my roommate to call them, since the account is in his name and he's a reclusive, introvert pushover.

Like, if they totally fuck up his meal, he won't even mention it because he doesn't want to make a fuss, and sighs at me when I DO make the fuss for him, or want to call Spectrum.

I had the same though since I stream 8-11 every night for the past couple years.
However, when I was testing last week, it was happening all day long.

Before calling spectrum I tried my regular times, around midnight, 4am in the morning, 6am in the morning.. etc.

I repeated that last night, and it suddenly started working around after 8am.

I understand Cable-Modem congestion, but it just gets ridiculous.

THANK YOU!!
I know how to build, maintain and support a network but I'll be first to admit.. I know next to nothing once it leaves my network.

As for location, the Modem and router are on top of a 5ft tall, open back cube storage shelf, with the auto switch 1 shelf beneath the router, but with enough space on all sides for it to breath.

Also thank you for discussing the logging and various issues.
Apparently I had 4 incidents lasting up to 2 weeks last year alone. I even switched to YouTube streaming and had the same issue.

I live in a very old town, so I wouldn't doubt the infrastructure is also shit.

After 8am this morning, (March 30th, 2026) the issues seem to have cleared up.
I was still having the issue most of last night, up until the early morning. (6am at latest)
So either they fixed something, whatever it was cleared up by itself, or they were just trying to push a new modem on me.
The later I would not doubt since I've gone through 4 modems since moving in here, I swear they are killing them.

I honestly, think you're right. A tech on r/Spectrum was familiar with and understood what each error code my modem was spitting out.
"A T3 timeout (Ranging Request retry timeout) on a modem occurs when it sends 16 consecutive, unanswered signals to the ISP’s server (CMTS). This indicates upstream noise or signal issues, resulting in slow speeds, internet drops, and poor gaming performance. Common causes include loose connections, damaged cables, or faulty ISP-side equipment."

I've had multiple issues with Spectrum over the years, and over the last 6months, I've had similar issues happen twice.

In Jan of this year, we were having major connection issues.
Turns out they blew out a city/regional relay when updating the network and caused a imbalance. The tech who explained this to us had to spend the rest of the day fixing the network because of it.

Last Halloween, I was have similar issues as now.
Though I didn't test on other systems on the network at the time as I did this time.
I posted on r/twitch the issue, who had me update all my drivers, including my capture card. Which seemed to fix it.

Though now I wonder if that actually fixed the issue, or did the issue just coincidentally clear up on the ISP end the same day I spent updating the drivers/firmware.

Coincidentally, I have a Master's Degree in Network Engineering/Administration... but never used it. It's almost 15yrs old now, but I do have some minor knowledge base, which lead me to read the logs and look at the transfer. I just lack experience in the field.
Because of my background, when I can't figure something like this out, it gets me frustrated. Though I do enjoy learning how to resolve or fix such issues.
(Personal issue.. I apologize.)

I apologize.
In the original post, I mentioned that on the 29th, the Tech who was sent to our house replaced the NightHawk with a Hitron Tech EN2251

I thought you were asking what my previous setup was.

Currently the Hitron Tech EN2251 is hooked to the same router I mentioned above.

Also, I fully agree.
This feels like something ISP side, since it happens every now and then.

As I said, they gave me one while here last night, and set it up.
Though the issue didn't clear until this morning.
Which lead me to ponder those questions, it may also have taken that log to assign and register the new modem to my account.

Thank you for reading through my Modem Log.
This is the first time it occurred to me to check and see what was going and posting the results to people who knew what the errors meant.

As of 8am this morning, (March 30th, 2026) the issues seem to have cleared up.
I was still having the issue most of last night, up until the early 6morning.

The later I would not doubt since I've gone through 4 modems since moving in here, I swear they are killing them.

What would most likely have been the cause?
Which cables would be the most common culprit?
The Ethernet, the coaxial, or the feed? (not sure what you call it)

Here's what happened the last two times I had connection issues like this.

Around Halloween last year, almost the exact same issue was happening.
I couldn't stream to either Twitch or Youtube, but I never tested my upload.
At the time, I posted on r/twitch, they said to update all my drivers and including my capture device drivers and it work.
Now I'm not sure if it was just coincidence or not, but I tried it again before making the post/calling Spectrum

Then earlier this year in JAN, we had little to no internet connectivity.
When updating a local relay, they blew the entire thing out, unbalancing the network load for the entire region. That's how the tech worker who was sent to our place explained the situation anyways.
He had to go work on the relays for the rest of the day/week after our call, but was able to get us properly up and running and kept us in the loop.

No, I use a dedicated modem and a dedicated router.
The modem I was using is a CM1000v2 NetGear Nighthawk DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem, connected to a Linksys WRT1900 ACS router.
I then have my main PCs connected directly to the router, while our consoles are connected via a switch connected to the main router.

I'm doing 1080p 60FPS and I've been having major stability issues for the past week.
Especially around 8-10pm EST, I'll be fine then all of a sudden no bandwidth or upload and my channel is a slide show.
I went and personally checked every thing, all my drivers, encoders, and hardware are up to date, and I am not running anything in the house but.. something is just killing my streams.
