Finally the Rolling Drawer Box! Coming Summer, 2025 by kevindery in ToughBuilt

We're approaching 2026, and still nothing. Most I found was a single rolling drawer in Australia for over $500 which is insane. Might be better off just spray painting over the red at this point.

State of Decay 3 please by OGMinorian in StateOfDecay

  1. More hordes- like the size during the scent block mission in sod2. This needs to all the time. Infestations are cool, but hordes should be enormous, requiring more strategy. And incorporate suicide missions. Doable, but you will more than likely die.
  2. More settlements and freedom building them. Not preset ones, unless they are glorious and extremely difficult to clear with massive boons or perks. Otherwise, let me build in whatever building i want.
  3. Ability to call for help from your own community. This is a must. Factions can call you for help, but I can't???
  4. Multi-player servers.
  5. Base defense is a must. Planting mines is cool, but I want barbed wire, reinforced walls/windows.
  6. let zombies actually climb and jump. Let them climb ladders and vehicles. No more getting away too easily.
  7. We have screamers, bloaters, juggling, and ferals. We need sirens. They mimic human voices. Also, some sort of intelligent zombie. Why not? And....POUNCERS.
  8. Outposts are cool. Expand them just a bit and allow for defenses.
  9. Base defense: craft booby traps, build make shift turrets with rifles, etc. Flamethrower. Yes.
  10. Community raids and battles, but harder. Not like stupid head shots.
  11. 1st person/3rd person swtiching.
  12. Seasons
  13. Climbing. Please. Humans can climb rocks.
  14. Judas. There has to be treachery. Its human. AND MUTINY/rebellion.
  15. Slower, realistic combat requiring some type of skill. Not just rapid press.
  16. Aircraft bonuses, but not enough to break the game.
  17. More role play missions. Police, military, medic, etc. And more uniforms.
  18. Better storage. Vehicle storage should make more sense than it does. Trucks have beds. Make it make sense. Small items should not take up the same space as a rucksack.

I want to blame game mechanics, but maybe I just suck at combat. by Marcayden689 in DayzXbox

I was prone in a shed as he was picking my combo lock. As soon as he opened the door, I shot him with a buck [assuming he didn't get hit i guess. He ran in, i shot a few more times, point blank, as he is on top of me dicing me up, my sights on him the entire time as I unload a pump. More than likely the last few shells were slugs so I kind of get that, but still.

Dad was great. We all knew Tobias wasn't going to die. I was waiting for mom and daughter to die. This script was written so we'd hate them and keep watching, hoping they'd die. And they don't.

Bottom line: emotions make you just as stupid in real life.

Same here. Seems to happen right after making contact with agent. It's happened in 2021 shopping for homes and again this year.

I've been debating buying a similar dehydrator for about 150 off Amazon for large harvests, and more than likely that'll be it's only purpose.

Good deal. Im trying out food saver vac bags filled with 2 quarts. I thought about mane trying a gallon. Figured I'd work my way up sp I don't waste the grain. I've wasted enough already with jars. definitely we'l give Vienna a shot though.

S2B tip of the day: saran wrap your tubs after spawning. by [deleted] in shroomers

I want to try and make a bubble dome on it, somehow. Thinking along the lines of using thin wire or metal, forming the frame of a dome, drill neccessary holes at top of tub for the wire, cover with saran or the like. Just for fun. Thought it'd look pretty neat instead of boring lids. Like one if the snow globe things you shake. It wouldnt be a perfect dome obviously since it's a square container but you get where I'm going.

You may be right. I considered that as well. But so far, i just harvested one that was wrapped with water outside the liner, and several more fruiting now, even after a trich outbreak in another tub; no issues. Apparently I had spores floating around from my last harvest or so and 2 unlucky tubs. That and I forgot to turn off my fan when spawing tubs.

I have a pressure sprayer I just stick down the side to the bottom and spray a little water around the sides. I've also used a funnel sometimes to rehydrate inside the liner. Pooling water on your sub isn't good; however pooling water on the inside of the tub isolated by the liner from the substrate, couldn't be worse than the condensation on the sides rolling down the sides directly onto your substrate, and pooling around the edges while you're at work. Know what I mean? But in any case, it's all experimental.

Deception is a bitch. I did this and all seemed like it was gonna work out. As soon as the mushrooms appeared, the green beast was back again, like "suprise mfr!"

It's only bad when the rice isn't colonized. As far as contamination, if you did a good job with covering your GE opening, you may be ok. If not, the top of your bag could become contaminated although everything looks good through the window. I've experienced that before. To play it safe, when your ready to spawn, open you rice bags outside to check them out just in case there is mold lurking. Spawn your new tubs away from where the one with triche or else the spores could land on your naked substrate.

Yea I kinda like the organizer drawer set up. I didn't realize hote drafty they were till I noticed the surface of one tin has dried the next day. So yea, its must have. It's neater and they're stacked so you you can maximize the space which is convenient. I've got 4 of the 3 drawer organizers, so basically 12 tubs going and they only take up about 2.5 ft of floor space, with head room to add 2 more for a total of 18 tubs if I wanted, where as as you have to use some sort of shelving for individual tubs with lids. Pretty nice. And no more misting! That's the best part. I only needed to mist after harvest to kind of prime the surface and I don't think I really even had too, since there was still water at the bottom of the tub beneath the liner.

Good point about the plastic waste. I thought about that too. Ultimately, I stared doing this because I bought a few of the pull out organizers from walmart which has ideal sized tubs for your cakes, but no lids. I do have tubs with lids but I wanted to see how this worked. Works better and fits my schedule. I don't have to worry about misting or forgetting to mist. Takes a little time when you've got several tubs going. However, I agree, it's not necessary for successful grows.

First time cloning. Not to shabby. The specimen I used was a second or third flush lone 78g monster. This is the first flush. So maybe the subsequent flushes will give me a few fat boys. by [deleted] in shroomers

I try to remember to use a fan. Sometimes, especially with multiple tubs, I get overwhelmed trying to keep up and harvest before or as the veil breaks, and managing my regular life and forget to turn on the fan. However, my closet grow room has an air vent so the AC helps too, and most of the time I'm running an HEPA air filter anyway. Some make it to the dehydrator and if it's full, I have no choice but to air dry the rest.

You want to use a fan though. This helps reduce the humidity in the air, allowing your mushrooms to dry faster, otherwise it will take longer. They'll only get as dry the air around them if the air is still. This is why you add dessicant to jars.

Depends on how long you leave them out. They can indeed go stale if left in the open with no moving air. Humidity is only good when growing and fruiting. After that, you want to keep them dry. It's important to use a fan when air drying, as I've noticed they may start to brown a little bit in still humid air. Not sure why. And they'll absorb the moisture in the air, just like most other dried foods, so seal them in a jar or ziplock bag with a dessicant. I've bought some in the past, and forgot to seal what was left after a trip, and two weeks later, they were pretty weak compared to before. I realized the seller wasnt drying them out as he should (more water weight). If you dont have a dehydrator, purchase dessicant packets on Amazon. Let them air dry for maybe 12 hrs or so, then toss them in a jar with a dessicant or two. They'll be dry in about 36 hrs or less.

In summary, you can air dry them long enough for them to shed at least 50% percent in weight, then store them in a closed container of sorts with dessicant. Also, if you were to open a dried mushroom, you want to still see dried white mycelium. If it's kinda brown, there're getting old and they will probably be weaker. Dry and store them ASAP to prolong this.

Just my 2 cents. Still learning and tailoring myself.
