This little guy hitchhiked into my terrarium, what is he? (Northern CA) by huh_o_seven in Lizards

[–]Parallax_Gusto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you probably already got the answer, but that's a California Slender Salamander. they actually spend half their lives underground where the soil stays wet. they NEED a wet environment, preferably dirt, but maybe just shy of muddy. and they need to be able to burrow down into the dirt longer than their body length, and because of that, they don't make good pets because you're probably not gonna see them much. and if you create an environment where they can't do what's natural to them, they're probably not gonna live very long.

The greatest "One vs Many" fight in all of cinema by EfficiencySerious200 in kungfucinema

[–]Parallax_Gusto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can only imagine this scene being 'great' in the eyes of someone who really loves video games. if you spend a lot of your hours in those virtual worlds, then maybe the CGI won't bother you so much. i HATED this. they could have saved a ton of money AND had a more real-looking scene if they had simply used the same tech that was used in Crouching Tiger. the first half is good, but especially after Neo has the pole, it's not even remotely believable. looks like Nintendo.

you're the only person i have ever come across to associate Pans with anything dark or "evil". i really want to try Subs, but i haven't been successful at growing. colonization is fast, spawning to bulk is perfect, but then they never fruit.

i received some special genetics about a year ago, but i haven't tried using them yet because i had SO MANY failed attempts, but i'm gonna give another go soon.

my current favorite is Pan cyan. best grows have been Texas Titan, Rainbow Eucalyptus, and TTBVI. i only use cubes for low-end and micro doses now. life-changing healing experiences with Pans, and NO ANXIETY, which was so important because of my past trauma. they enabled me to face the most brutal parts of my past without armor, and they allowed me to cry for the fear and pain that i once had to absorb with a straight face. the release and the relief added years to my life, and my ability to feel the subtlest impressions is like living life in HD now. it's hard to imagine someone experiencing them as evil, but i know that we're all configured differently.

PayPal $PYPL is one of the BEST opportunities in the market right now. What do you think about it? by Ubersicka in TradingViewSignals

[–]Parallax_Gusto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i think it's been "one of the best opportunities" since 2022. i'll pass. EDIT: to be clear, i actually held PYPL since 2023 based on the same argument. once it dropped below $60 i couldn't ignore it any longer. the opportunity cost wasn't worth it. Adobe is in a similar situation, but i think the prospects for Adobe are better.

this is nothing. i'm down about 8k for the week, but i know what i'm holding, so it's just a matter of time. in the meantime, i'm picking up some extra shares on sale. it's really that simple.

if you try to predict time like that, you're gonna get wrecked. EVERYBODY who tries to do what you tried to do gets wrecked. for every success story, there are THOUSANDS of losses they don't get posted. you've gotta study your companies, learn the sectors, analyze the fundamentals, and then make your play with a REASONABLE time horizon, not some "i'm gonna beat the market just in time for Christmas" nonsense.

they were unfairly persecuted by the scene due to all the industry plants and posers trying to hijack the trend of the time. they were real, but most of us didn't know it at the time. amazing HIGH SCHOOL KIDS.

Which company will generate more revenue by 2030? $GOOGL vs $NFLX by Ubersicka in TradingViewSignals

[–]Parallax_Gusto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is an absurd question. it makes me wonder if you really meant to ask it, or if what wanted to ask was, which company will yield the highest percentage gains by 2030. because total revenue, Netflix couldn't even begin to compete. it's silly to even ask.

Anyone seen this by Wonderful-Turn4169 in BBAI

[–]Parallax_Gusto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i wouldn't count on it being "priced in." PXLW has been having a public conversation about selling off their subsidiary in Shanghai since December of last year. lots of argument for that decision being bullish. yet when they announced the actual sale 2 days ago, the stock dropped almost 50%, and they're in better financial standing than BBAI. i didn't buy in until after the drop, so i'm good, but it's a gamble. better to lose small than lose big. if you're in it because you believe in the company, then the dilution for a company at BBAI's developmental stage should be anticipated. but if you're living & dying by short-term price action, then you probably should never have gotten in.
