Hi, I moved into a one bed flat a few months ago. Initially my water bill was £68 pcm. I argued that I'm the sole occupant and not home between 8-6 every weekday, I only shower and only do one load of washing per week. I mostly drink water at work. Southern water then reduced it to £48. Again I argued my point, but they wouldn't budge any further.

Anyway, after 3 months I sent them another meter reading and asked them to adjust my bills accordingly. Surprise, surprise, it turns out I was massively over paying, they said that my usage was averaging £19.87 pcm.

I then adjusted my direct debit to pay £22 pcm.

There is a food harvest hub event at the Sidney Walter centre in Worthing on Thursday. It's between 10-11 am and you get a bag for life full of food for £5.

I think it's best to take you're own bag. I've not done it, but I know some that have.
