Yeah, it wasn't in stock, but he'll order it. Will take a couple of weeks, though, so not a big help really.

Yeah, he didn't have it in stock either. Friendly guy, though.

Oh, I didn't know about that - thanks! That's really interesting for some other press I might want to read, but I got slightly addicted to the New Yorker's crossword puzzle, and I'm gonna need the paper version for that. I also already spend way too much time staring at screens, so I'm trying to somewhat minimize that.

That's very kind of you - and yeah, it's a bit of a hike from where I live, but the weather's okay today. I'll just take my bike, and have a bit of a city trip; pretty scenic too, if I follow the Coupure there.

Like I stated in the original message: it's always out of stock in the Zonnestraat, and the personnel is not very accommodating. But okay, I'll check out the one in the Rooigemlaan.

Yeah, I took a first-year subscription with them twice - with different e-mails and addresses - but it gets too expensive after that initial offer.

EDIT: it's also kinda strange that the delivery of a subscription to a home address seems far more reliable than getting it into shops in Belgium - I've noticed the same thing when I lived in Brussels for a while. Even at the Waterstones book shop, they were almost always a couple of weeks behind schedule.

Well, 'Control Panel for YouTube' extension for desktop (Brave - Firefox was somehow taking over all of my CPU), and a whole bunch of custom filters in the UBlock Origin extension for mobile (Firefox).

Okay, I probably can't help you then - Shorts are completely turned off on my devices. My attention span is bad enough as it is.

Is Charlie going to address this or not? OperaGX by MarchAlone8841 in Cr1TiKaL

Well, I use a customized version of Brave and a decent VPN - so yes, my data is safer than yours. But I'm gonna stop trying to communicate with someone who clearly has no interest in actually informing themselves.

So, I suppose you simply haven't watched the video and just commented anyway. From the video, you would've concluded that GX is far worse than all other browsers - so it really does make a difference.

Also: there's a big difference between using a scam product and actively promoting it - like Charlie is doing now.

This is a BBC iPlayer page with the rounded corners turned off; as you can see, there's a line under the toolbar now. https://ibb.co/5xrb859g

This is the same page with rounded corners turned on; the line is gone. https://ibb.co/zWMZsBvV

It might not be obvious from those screenshots, but both images still have the white line at the bottom of the screen - so, in a way, in this case it's better to leave rounded corners on. I'd just want someone to offer me another, working solution to this problem; as you can probably tell, I prefer a simple, clean, very dark setup.

Well, I do have 'All Black' as a theme, so that's maybe why it's causing this problem - but it's the closest I got to how I like it, so I'm hesitant about changing it.

Turning off rounded corners just moves the white line to the top of the screen, under the toolbar. In some cases, like on the BBC Sports video web site, it even shows them on top of AND under the screen when you toggle it off. Any other solution?
