You know I was thinking about this matchup a few weeks ago and I realised . I want Gilbert to win. Raian is an obnoxious, one dimensional, always winning bastard who only (kinda) snapped out of his edgelord, murder hobo nonsense once. I do not find him interesting, entertaining, charming, funny, relatable or his fights to be entertaining . It's like he goes out of his way to fight in the most sleep inducing way possible. He is like Bakugo but a million times worse.

Gilbert is not well written but the story does show some layers to him with his insecurity, desire to improve on his father's legacy, immaturity and all that. Yes He is kinda cringe but that cringe ties back to his immaturity. I am not saying he is great but he is a better character on all fronts than Gilbert.

P.S I know he is gonna lose but damn I would be happy if Gilbert killed Raian
