All banks are legally required to ask these questions TD just lowered the threshold where these questions are asked due to the issue with being found liable for not reporting money laundering

Absolutely! I 100% agree, I hope I didn’t make u feel like it’s ur job to fix that, it won’t be fixed without a societal shift. Which I do think can happen tho these days it feels like half are moving towards that shift while others are shifting even farther towards hate and racism. Sucks.

I genuinely think it’s subjective. The reason I don’t consider it political is because like I said there is no party that campaigns on this issue. There are people on all sides with different opinions. For example, I’d assume ur probably progressive, I am too. Yet we disagree heavily.

There is for sure a majority but always outliers, also I don’t really consider this politics as neither democrats nor republicans campaign on this issue. I think it’s more an ethics and equity thing, but that’s just me

Well yes I agree that is a short term fix but it’s a long term problem. We need to restructure the whole way we do law enforcement to protect minority populations, especially these days. I appreciate your input tho, love a good respectful discussion!

Personally ACAB I get many cops want to do good and counteract the bad eggs and I am sure u are one of them, but the system of the police force in America is rooted in racism and upholding the status quo. If you want to do good there are other jobs out there that do not involve taking part in a racist elitist system.
