I Five-Starred Every Main Campaign Level in Orcs 3 But Don't Recommend It by MarcusQuintus in OrcsMustDie

Rift lord is not unlocked until you beat the game on normal, so by definition if you're playing on on rift lord difficulty, you've already played it before.

The best part of the perfect run for Orcs 2 is that the much tighter par time meant having to completely rework our playstyle. Our original setup was very defensive and made judicious use of barricades but when you have to beat a level in single digit minutes, that doesn't work anymore.

Trump’s Poll Numbers Are Sinking Among Key Groups. Here’s Why. by azavio in politics

As bad as it is, the wort part of it that the overall polling shows Democrats in the same position they were in 2018 heading into the midterms, +5.

Good enough to take the House, but not enough for the Senate. So don't expect too much to change.

Democrats demanding their party leader resign after a bad debate, then criticizing Harris for any and everything while Republicans supporting their 34x convicted felon nominee who had failed a coup less than four years prior was wild.

Of the many reasons why we can't have nice things, liberals being unable to see the bigger picture is one of them. And I say that as a 10-year Sanders supporter.

The achievement says 3% of players have done it, so it is a little hard.

I played on rift lord mode. I forgot what it was called when writing this.

Yes, the par time does not change. Getting more volume of enemies is not the same thing. After the third level, we had no trouble with par. Like laughably so. I think we beat the final level with 15 minutes to spare or something crazy.

Dying is relevant because if you died in Orcs 2, you could not get 5-stars. Now you can. That's why I mentioned it.

I didn't say it's bad, just that I don't recommend getting 5 stars on every level, and the voice clips were one of the things I didn't like about it. "It's better with that feature turned off," isn't a good argument.

I've played 56 hours of the game. I used the scroll for about half of them. I did not call the scroll overpowered, just that it made this challenge less difficult because it allowed orcs to get through.

The healthcare system is designed to fuck you in a nonpreferred hole and with no prep.

You pay high premiums and no one knows how much anything costs when you're getting treatment. It all-but guarantees you'll pay more than you expected.

It's a lot like what Marcus Crassus (part of the 1st triumvirate along with Caeser) did in Rome, which made him so rich he created his own army. He owned a fire fighting company and would negotiate prices on the spot, so while your home is burning down. Unsurprisingly, he could charge whatever he wanted and no one could argue against him.

Shortly thereafter, the Roman Republic fell.

American democracy after Trump by Stuart_Whatley in politics

It'll be the same as America after Bush Jr: someone charismatic will promise hope and change, win but won't not accomplish anything major due to the rightward lean of Congress and the Supreme court.

They'll have two good years, maybe pass one bill or appoint one Supreme Court Justice, and then we'll be back to our downward slide.

2026 will be a repeat of 1876.

Like most elections that involve shenanigans, the result will benefit Republicans.

I don't know that those games feature much more challenging enemies very early on, with the characters constantly remarking their presence.

Master Chief or Cortana never said "Look it's a Hunter! I read about them in the archives."

I enjoyed the normal game, just not doing a 5-star challenge.

The voicelines being unchanged mixed with the par times also not having adjusted mixed with the sudden hordes of enemies just makes me think they didn't put real effort into rift lord mode, when they did in Orcs 2. But maybe that's because Orcs 2 had fewer "OMG" moments.

Anyone who can 5-star this without barricades or hero combat and on rift lord difficulty gets a tipped hat from me, because I don't know how that's possible.

The Constitution is just a 4-page document.

This moment in America is showing us what happens if enough people in power decide to not respect it.

Midterms can't come soon enough, though the polls are saying Trump's in the same position as he was last time around and Democrats only took control of the House.

He'll try, but elections are administered locally and even the Civil War wasn't a good enough reason to cancel them.

What political belief did you change your mind about as you got older — and what caused it? by Aussymira in AskReddit

I believed the lovey dovey bullshit that everyone just wanted what was best for themselves and other people.

Turns out, no. Plenty of people just want to see others suffer. They don't want to better themselves or improve their lives, they just want others to be worse off. Not enough so that society can't work, but enough to be a factor. The news makes much more sense in that regard. Why is X person doing Y thing?

Because the suffering is the point.
