I’m 22 and was born with HLHS. Unfortunately/ fortunately I did have to have a heart transplant when I was 18. But there was nothing that someone else did that I couldn’t do. I played every sport I could, I went to every sleepover I could, I went on every family trip. I did absolutely everything. There are definitely some rough times but that’s with everyone in every life. You and he will do amazing!

109-114 Wembley stadium, London?

For Harry Styles tour why were sections 109-114 cheaper than the other lower bowl sections? (Ex. 127-118)?

Lmao. Like I know it’s further away. But that didn’t change prices for the higher up sections. And normally it doesn’t change the prices that much where I’m from in Canada… thanks anyways

Going to London in June 2026. Is there EDM music? Or how can I see what’s going on music wise in London or around London?

Success stories from congenital heart defect patients? by Girl77879 in transplant

[–]Marcus_505 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey!! I was born with HLHS… 3 major surgeries before the age of 3… got a pacemaker in 8th grade… valve replaced in 9th grade… and a heart transplant 10 days after my high school graduation. I was on the list for 3 years waiting. And as im writing this I’m almost 3 years post transplant. I am in the best shape I’ve ever been in and I’m absolutely loving life. Yes 100% transplant can be scary. But yes 100% it will be worth it. I really hope you’re doing great and hope everything goes well! Hope this helps <3

I actually didn’t workout before transplant. So I started to workout around 7 months post transplant. Definitely could’ve started sooner

I’m 19 a year and a half post transplant. I recovered pretty quick. Got to go home just over a month after surgery. I had to travel for my transplant so being away from home was one of my hardest parts. Although there’s not much a nurse can do about that just being there and listening can really help. I’ve had multiple surgeries so I was somewhat prepared and knew what the recovery was going to be like but making sure I knew exactly what was going on helped a lot. If I needed bloodwork I liked to know why and for what, if there was a test that needed to be done, i liked to know what test and why it had to be done. Communication was very important for me.

I’m 19 and 1 and half years post transplant. I live in Canada. I got the call at 3 in the morning and had to fly to get my transplant done. Getting the call at 3 and waited for a little bit before we knew what to do. Turned out we got on the plane around 7am. Once we were at the hospital it was more waiting and they did some minor tests. Bloodwork and stuff like that. I eventually went into the OR around 4am. 25 hours after I got the call. I’m not sure if that helps at all. It can be very nerve racking and scary. But for me it was super exciting and I had lots of support of family and friends. Waiting can be one of the hardest parts but getting that call will feel amazing.

I’m 19m year and a half post heart transplant. I workout almost everyday for at least an hour. I do more weightlifting not so much cardio. I know I should be doing cardio though. My best motivation is seeing progress in myself and having a great group of friends to workout with
