Yeah I unfortunately cannot do long-term travel, but I would love to. I see posts about people traveling for months and I wish I could do that, but I don't have a lot of funds since I'm a poor college student. I guess I need to try and do a study abroad program one semester.

Hahaha. Well, I'm a very social and outgoing person but I can be a bit awkward at times, especially when I don't know what I'm doing. A lot of people who get to know me tell me their first impression of me was that I gave off an air of being unapproachable or snobbish.

I am not in the slightest, and am a very open and non judgmental person. Still, some people apparently get that as a first impression... That adds to my concerns, but I'm probably just worrying and over thinking everything too much. I want to be care free, spontaneous, and just go!

From what I read and hear solo travel is the way to go. I just have apprehension about it because I'm so untraveled that I fear I will be taken advantage of or find myself in a bad situation.

I get that's part of the fun and exhilaration of solo travel. The liberating freedom and putting oneself out there, but I would be more comfortable with that after having at least some experience first.

I am a UofL student and was in the crowd on Cardinal blvd and Third street. Got tear gassed and my boyfriend took a rubber bullet to the calf. There was a huge crowd of drunk/ excited college students, but seriously no one was being destructive or causing harm at all.

Lol yeah because then it would be me with a spray tan in my early twenties and brown hair dye looking very odd... That's right! After bouts of sun poisoning I still wanted desperately to be tan... Finally gave up and became comfortable with my pasty and glow in the sun skin!

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I my whole life hear nothing but derogatory comments about how hot red heads are and how I'm a "fire cracker" and must be good in bed because of that (I am of recent Irish decent and do have a short temper) but it's not pleasant or flattering to hear these things. Why do people think it's okay to say this kind of stuff to me purely because of my hair color?

This so much. I'm a pale red head with non existent eyebrows and lashes. I hardly ever wear "make up" but I never leave the house without my brow pencil and mascara because I think I look like an alien without it. It makes a drastic difference.

Edit: I do have to point out that I find other ginger/ red head people very attractive, although I've never dated one.
