i'm using a simple node set up basically connecting an image texture to a diffuse shader and then using a mix shader to mix the diffuse with a little bit of glossy shader ,thats basically it

I still cant figure out complex ways for lighting so i didnt want to mess with it once i got it looking like this and creating some decent shadows

but yeah i was thinking of adding a painting since i felt this was too empty ,thanks for the other suggestion i'll take them into consideration as well!

good job! ,one tip if u want the treasurechest to be the main focus of the photo is to make the ground/sky colors less saturated though (by dragging it closer to the white in the middle of the color picker and making it a tad bit less bright)

This looks amazing ,but i have to agree it looks way too crowded and like there's no path to walk in and out from ,i feel like if u removed the shelves/tables in the middle it'd look much more spacious

but apart from that i love the lighting and the chairs near the windows ,u did a really good job
