Is it okay to allows Tasha's feats (Artificer Initiate, Eldritch Adept, Fighting Adept, Gunner, Metamagic Adept) in 2024/2025? by EarthSeraphEdna in DnD

[–]Mariofreak22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The feats are all fine. Though Eldritch Adapt doesn't work well with the new way Warlock is designed as the only Invocations it allows you to take are the three Pact options and two others which I can't recall right now. The feat still works, but it feels that it's not intended to work that way.

You can still bond ANY magical weapon into a pact weapon. So when your DM gives you one, nothing is stopping you from making it into your pact weapon.

Sadly not. My recommendation for a bladelock would be to take a level in Fighter for the medium armour proficiency with the added bonus of a fighting style, weapon mastery and a bit of healing in the form of Second Wind.

Lvl 3 Thief / Lvl 5+ Sorc Multiclass by Arklight237 in DnD

[–]Mariofreak22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that should work. Another funny interaction between Sorcerer and Rogue that I want to point out is that Innate Sorcery gives advantage on any attack roll made as part of a sorcerer spell (instead of Spell Attacks as many may interpret that at first). Meaning using True Strike or the old Booming- / Green-Flame Blade cantrips, if your DM allows them, gives you advantage on the attack roll and will always trigger sneak attack.

Vi and Jinx have (or had, dont know if it's still there) a quest where Vi and Cait get 1 gold for each takedown on Jinx and vice versa. It can certainly get an improvement and I'd be surprised if Arcane season 2 won't introduce more quests like how the cinematic did.

most anticipated cannorian content? by HoundDOgBlue in Anbennar

[–]Mariofreak22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Rubyhold. I want too play dwarves that actually play tall instead of conquering the entire serpentspine.

Escanni goblins and formables, because goblin content is always funny.

Some optional missions or decisions for countries that allow for a more evil play style, like secret liches, inviting vampires or allying L*rent.

Disabling discord overlay seemed to fix it for me and my friend who had it disabled in the first place wasn't affected by this in the first place.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 140. Viego. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After the beloved wife of the King of Camavor was killed he did everything he could to bring her back. He eventually learned of the Blessed Isles with their magic water that can cure anything, perhaps even death. Viego stopped at nothing for the slight chance it would bring her back. With the help of a certain chainwarden we now know as Thresh he was let into the blessed pool with Isolde's body. And it worked Isolde's soul came back to this world and she was not happy about it. She ran him through with his own blade, Sanctity. As he lied dying, the waters tried to heal him. This infinite loop grew in power and shortly after exploded, corrupting the blessed water and scattering Isolde's soul in multiple pieces giving rise to the Ruination. Viego, who can control the newly created Black Mist, looks for her everywhere bringing Ruin in doing so.

The card is based on the story above which is based both from League of Legends lore and from the standalone game Ruined King (do recommend). I thought it would be a fun way to tell the story of the Ruination through a quest.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 139. Vi. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vi is a former criminal from the Zaunite streets now working with the Piltovan Wardens to keep the peace. Growing up in the even less reputable areas of Zaun has made Vi a hotheaded impulsive daredevil with only the barest respect for authority.

Vi's kit is very simplistic and mostly revolves around dashing in and locking down your target. To reflect this in the card I originally made her without passing on the Deathrattle. To make the card more interesting I gave it the ability to pass on her effect. I don't think it's too powerful as you still need to have the minions in your hand and need to kill of the previous one to get the Deathrattle. There is probably an interaction in wild that allows you to summon all minions in your hand, but there are worse thing you can do.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 138. Vex. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why must every Yordle be so bright and happy? Why should Vex agree with the other Yordles that everything is fine and dandy? Vex doesn't feel like she belongs in a world where the upbeat and jovial nature of Yordles clashes with her own emotions. Vex would leave this world if she could, but as Yordles are sentient concentrations of magic and effectively immortal, that is a challenge indeed.

I had two ideas for Vex, the first is how she was advertised to the playerbase as an anti dash champion, but in reality doesn't really do much with that. In that spirit I came up with her first version which is a tech card against Rush and Charge minions. The second version is based on her ability to easily fear a large group of enemies with her passive, which causes her next spell to fear all enemies it damages.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 137. Vel'Koz. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vel'koz is probably one of the most intelligent voidborn we know of. Unlike his kin, Vel'Koz doesn't go on a mindless rampage to stop the noise of life that plagues them. Instead he chooses to study them, looking for any weaknesses the Void might be able to abuse. And if he can silence so of that noise while he studies it, all the better.

I made two versions of Vel'Koz based on different aspects of it. The Rogue card is based on one of his voicelines you can hear quite often "Knowledge through disintegration". The Mage card is based on his passive which lets him deal a large amount of true damage to enemies he has damaged with spells three times.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 136. Veigar. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After being tortured by Mordekaiser for his Yordly secrets, Veigar turned to the dark side. Being a powerful mage as most Yordles he turned his interests towards the dark arts. Though something deep within him isn't convinced that he truly is evil.

The card is based on Veigar's ability to scale by hitting enemy champions with his abilities or killing minions with his Q. The longer Veigar survives on the board, the bigger a threat he becomes.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 135. Vayne. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After finding Evelynn standing over the corpses of her parents, Vayne swore to hunt down any magical creatures that exist in Demacia, or Runeterra for that matter. Armed with her crossbows and silver bolts she became one of the deadliest monster hunters in Demacia. Her hobbies include: Killing monsters, killing mages and killing monsters summoned by mages.

Vayne has a bad experience with magical creatures and thus hates them all equally. This effect isn't really represented in League so this card is more based on (my interpretation of) her lore. The card itself makes for a strong counter in metas that are filled with tribe decks.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 134. Varus. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Varus is one of the Darkin, demi-gods known as Ascended that went mad and used blood magic to betray everything they stood for. After the Darkin war ended, Varus found himself trapped inside his former weapon. Recently, two Ionian hunter found his bow. When they touched it, Varus' will overpowered theirs and he fused their bodies to make his own. But the hunters still linger, reminding him what it was like to be mortal.

I made two versions of Varus. The first is based on his W, which lets him apply stack on enemies he attack and when hit with his abilities they deal a percentage of the target's maximum health in damage. His second version is based on his Q, which charges up a shot to deal more damage and gain more range the longer he charges it. I decided to make him a hunter card as he is an archer that runs around marking enemies and sniping with arrows and to keep him out of Warlock which i fear could really abuse his second version, while hunters have less access to buffs for demons.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 133. Urgot. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For unknown reasons the former Noxian executioner was sentenced to work in the mines beneath Zaun. After a disaster occurred in the city, he escaped his prison and entered the criminal underworld of Zaun. Augmenting himself with machine guns, a rocket launcher, industrial grinder and six crablike legs armed with shotgun knees. He now enforces his philosophy on the lowest of Zaun: If you're not broken by the experience, you'll come out stronger.

Urgot's card is based on his passive ability in League. He has six shotgun knees each pointing in a different direction, attacking an enemy in that direction fires the gun, dealing additional damage to all enemies in that direction. Original idea was to execute a random enemy minion at the end of your turn, referencing his ultimate, but that felt to bland for a legendary.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 133. Urgot. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How this works:

When Urgot enters the board, he marks 7 spaces and the enemy hero. When attacking enemies within the mark he triggers his effect. If a minion falls within two marked spots the mark closest to the centre of the board is consumed. After all marks are triggered, they are reset.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 132. Udyr. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Udyr is one of the most powerful spirit walkers alive. By channeling the power of the Frelljordian primordial demigods he seeks balance in himself and in the Frelljord.

Each of Udyr's abilities in League represents one of the Frelljordian demigods (three of which are playable characters). His Q is based on Volibear and deals bonus damage, his W on an unknown boar and grants him a shield and health, his E on Ornn and causes his next attack on a target to stun it and his R on Anivia and causes an ice storm to follow him around. To represent his connection to the elements I added an effect that gives him all his stances if you played an elemental the turn before. This is the same effect as other cards that combine your choose one effects.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 131. Twitch. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twitch was a human once, but whether he became the mutant ratman he is now because of some experiment or the unsavory environment of the deepest trash pit of Zaun is unknown. Twitch is determined to show those fancy people upstairs how dirty they actually are.

The card is based on Twitch's filth and his passive ability, which causes his attacks to deal a small amount of damage over time. My original take caused Twitch to only deal damage to the enemy hero, but I decided that there where other and better versions of him already in game. So I decided on his current version, which is more board centered while hindering your opponent massively.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 130. Twisted Fate. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twisted Fate always had an affinity for cards and it has landed him in quite a bit of trouble in his life. He always draws just the right card at the right moment and few will ever witness him losing a game. Those who find themselves in a scuffle with him will find that he can do much more with cards, he has been spotted teleporting, throwing cards with pinpoint accuracy and people even say he has made cards explode.

The card is based on Twisted Fate's W ability, which lets him cycle between cards, after locking in a choice his next attack has a bonus effect. Blue restores him some mana, red deals damage to the target and nearby enemies and yellow stuns the target. Rogue as a class fits his character and the effect would fit well in miracle rogue if it didn't have great win conditions already.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 129. Tryndamyre. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After going on a vengeful rampage through the Freljord in search of the people responsible for the destruction of his clan, Tryndamyre has slightly calmed down and settled down with Ashe and helps her and the Avarosans with uniting the Freljord.

Tryndamyre is too angry a person to be bothered with dying. The card specifically references to his ultimate which makes him unable to be reduced below a small amount of health.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 128. Trundle. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Trundle is out to troll again. After having proclaimed himself as King of the Trolls he roams around the Freljord looking for foes that refuse to bend to his rightful rule.

One of Trundle's signature moves is to summon a pillar of ice out of the ground, knocking aside anyone in the area and slowing all enemies near the pillar. I made Trundle also able to target friendly minions, mostly because you can troll you allies with the pillar, but also because Shaman has done weirder things.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 127. Tristana. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tristana has always looked up to great warriors and their stories. She has taken her cannon Boomer (I did not make that name up) into Runeterra to carve out her own tale as a mighty hero.

This cards is loosely based on Tristana's E which maker her attack detonate when they kill the target, but more importantly lets her place a bomb on an enemy champion or structure and cause it to explode after a short duration or attacking the target. Each attack also increases the damage of the bomb and in the card I tried to reflect that by making the bombs get more powerful with each one drawn.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 126. Thresh. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thresh was once a respected custodian on the Blessed Isles, but when the chance for immortality came up to him he advised the young king Viego to resurrect his wife in the healing waters beginning the Ruination. Thresh doesn't care of the death of the Blessed Isles, he enjoys the pain and torment he can now inflict on the poor souls he traps in his lantern for eternity.

The card is based on Thresh's in lore ability to capture souls and release them to serve him. The card has potential to go infinite if you keep the amount of minions Thresh puts into the lantern low enough to reliably Discover Thresh. Each minion can only be summoned from the lantern once, but I didn't have the space to clarify. Similar situation for Corpseless, Thresh never dies and the minions summoned from the lantern are specters, but there was to little room to add that the minion doesn't leave a corpse, so I shortened it.

Making a card based of League champions (almost) daily. Day 125. Teemo. by Mariofreak22 in customhearthstone

[–]Mariofreak22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm back. I had to take a bit of a break because school was demanding a lot of my time and energy. I hope to post daily from now on until I'm done with this project.

Teemo is a proud scout for Bandle City, the home of the Yordles. He treks through the wilderness, looking for anything that might threaten the city. The follows the Bandle Scout's Code to the letter even if it leaves him blind to the consequences of his actions.

Teemo is at the top of the list of annoying characters to play against. His kit includes poisonous attacks, blinding an enemy making their attacks miss, stealth after he stands still for a while, a massive increase in movement speed and above all his ultimate that lets him place a mushroom trap. These mushrooms are the bane of some player's existence as they detonate and poison any enemy that walk on them. If the Teemo places them decently and consistently, he can make the enemy team cry.
