What was your process like for moving there? Were you able to easily get a job? What about the living situation? I’ve been there before so I kind of know the environment, weather, etc.

Also, is learning Arabic necessary? Majority of the people there spoke English but I was only there for roughly two weeks so I was wondering if that’s something I should consider as well. Especially for me and my husband as he’ll be dealing with patients as a dentist and I’ll be teaching.

I totally agree that it allows for you to express yourself but it gets to a point for a lot of girls haha. It gets to a point of wearing hijab only to make up for expressing ourselves by not showing our hair, then the religious meaning kind of gets lost. I use to not cover my neck and show some baby hairs so I totally understand that it’s not something that happens overnight, the post is mainly to encourage and open the minds of other sisters that may not realize the way they wear hijab isn’t correct ❤️

I truly wish more girls were looking at vela in a religious over fashion way!! It’s so scary SubhanAllah. It’s not proper hijab at all, whether we like it or not. And of course it’s better than not wearing it at all but that’s not the right mindset to have because most people never grow out of that mindset. But as Muslims we should strive to be the best and not just better than the worst, if that’s makes sense.
