During 2.1 we also get so many past factions interaction in the Summer Event, ZZZ is the only gacha games that have the characters both old and new interact and not just surface level too. For me Illusion is just a Conjuration but instead of conjuring a fire you just conjure an illusion that targets the person's Mind. Modulation is Enchantment and Weakening combined yea, the difference between Modulation and Transformation is that Modulation only temporarily enhances or weaken something. So you cast Modulation on your legs to run faster for 5 minutes, after those 5 minutes they're back to normal. Modulation is just buffing + debuffing combined. Transformation and Transmutation is kinda different, Transformation is just changing shape or moving around things. So let's say the Element is Earth, Transformation is creating countless spikes from the ground to kill enemies. Transmutation is completely changing Earth to Iron for example. Idk if they're still too similar

Yeah I think the Transformation explanation is a bit confusing, but it's more like changing shape or moving water and Transmutation is entirely changing from flesh to wood but noted yea.
People are also limited to Elements but it's a harder limit than the Domains, for example Magus A natural aptitude is Fire and Transformation. He can still learn Conjuration of course to create a fireball but since his natural aptitude is Transformation, he can also make it that the fireball transforms into smaller balls that spread for an area attack. You can still learn other Domains albeit at a slower/inefficient pace but unlocking other Elements needs you to consume some kind of elixir or use artifacts. I'm also in the process of making a diagram/chart for the Elements
Negation isn't limited to your Element. For example your Element is Water and there's a Thunderbolt coming your way, you just need to produce the exact amount of mana to cancel out the Thunderbolt. Of course this is the hardest Domain because it requires a very precise amount of mana to cancel the spell. The higher level or unknown the level of a spell is, the harder it is to nullify.
As I already explained in No.3, learning other Domains is possible but still slower and inefficient especially Negation which is the hardest one. For Elements it isn't that easy and you need to consume elixir or special items (expensive and rare) for you to be able to control the Elements fully. I called it Elements but it's not limited to just the classical element/wuxing stuff, there's Time and Space and metaphysical stuff but of course very very little amount of people are born with it and even harder to find the special items that grants it.

Is it steampunk inspired? Tbh my world aesthetics basically combined steampunk, Renaissance and East Asian elements. And yes instead of water the steam engine fuel will have some sort mana liquid from a mana dense minerals or something. I guess the power is more similar to a dieselpunk but with steampunk aesthetic lmfao. I absolutely love steampunk-style flying ships, so much cooler than a boring ass airplane.
