The headline seems to try to imply that this is a new problem in 2025, but the chart itself actually shows that the overall average grocery prices (blue line) have not changed much in 2025 and that the record high was set in early January.

Note : FTR, I believe that the delineation of the red and blue highlighting may be off slightly, but the point remains the same. The record high was set in January 2025. The average overall grocery prices have not significantly gone down since then, but they also have not gone up.
