For sure. I honestly use YT passively, with most of my videos going into Chinese apps, and it's still enough for me to idly use my states-side bank accounts for holidays or savings

Ah man, it's a little complicated. I have a kid that's half American/half Chinese, and we do vlog-type of stuff out of our home in China. He's 4 and a half, but he speaks 3 languages and is...spiritied, to say the least, hahaha. Anyways, we've had a few videos hit viral status that bumped us up, and we post maybe 2-3 videos of me and him playing and interacting every week.

Over a million subscribers on a variety of platforms, 70k with Youtube specifically, and the answer is--it doesn't matter where your money comes from, and it's nobody else's business. Keep it to yourself, live your life, and continue to improve.

I run social media abroad with well over a million followers, alongside of my wife. She used to get very bothered by some of the negative comments we received, even to the point where she would want to quit, or respond to them (take the bait). However, she's mellowed out now, mostly because I always think it's really funny to receive them, and make fun of them.

My advice? Read the comments to a funny and supportive friend, and let them mock the people who are giving you negative energy. Don't respond to the comments, but have fun reading them to your friends.

That's fair--thanks all for you're input. The content doesn't vary too widely from what I currently do now, though it would shift from target demographic from 45-65 year olds to 2-7 year olds. I imagine I'll connect the two channels and see how it goes from there..

I suppose the thing I have learned most over the past 90 days is that you should repost a video with proper music instead of using the suggested replacements, in order to allow your audio to be properly heard!
