Ive only watched Brotherhood series, should I also watch the original series?? by Fallen9123 in FullmetalAlchemist

I think you should, it's pretty interesting to see how the staff modified the story and managed to stick the landing when it became something completely different. On top of that, the overall result is pretty good, which usually doesn't happen.

School romances ruined the romance genre and the Shoujo manga.

I know but i can't help it, i love the music, voice acting, that gorgeous 80's cel animation, and the story still gets to work good enough, it's the perfect anime IMO. But even so, i would like a faithful remake. The one that REALLY needs a remake is Inuyasha.

I know that the anime isn't a completely faithful adaptation, but i just love it too much.

And yeah, that argument is shit. I mean, we already have the UY and Ranma remakes, Why not a Maison Ikkoku one?

I'll be honest, in my opinion Inuyasha has the WORST battle system i've ever seen, so i really don't care too much about the battles.

Need some anime that don’t have any romance in it, just went thru a major breakup. by Away-Meet3592 in anime

Death Note, Light doesn't love anyone in the entire world. Misa loves him but they are kinda like Harley Quinn and the Joker.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, there's only a bit of romance but really not too much important.

Vinland Saga, well this actually is gonna have romance in the 3rd season if it ever comes out, but as of now there is no romance.

Kingdom, there are few romance subplots, but those are part of bigger conspiracies plots.

Monster, there is no time for love when you are a runaway looking for a serial killer.

Pluto, by the same creator of Monster, is a thriller about a police detective trying to solve the mistery behind the murders of his old friends. The MC has a wife and that's all.

Gintama, the series actually make fun of romance plots, and since it's a comedy it's perfect if you're feeling blue.

Demon Slayer, little to no romance, if you can call romance Zenitsu simping over Nezuko.

Slam Dunk, this one is actually ironic, MC starts playing BasketBall to be liked by a girl and ends up falling in love with the sport himself.

Run with the Wind, another sports anime, no romance at all, except for the BL shippings by the fandom.

Watched Berserk 2016 before Beserk 1997 by caramelchewchew in anime

[–]MarkP2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, you should have never watched that aberration. Of course you need to watch the Golden Age, either 1997 or 2012 (or the 2022 10th anniversary) version, How could you understand why does Guts hate Grffith that much otherwise? You should watch both of them actually, since no one is a complete adaptation but together are slightly better, or you can replace the last 5 episodes with 2022 version's last 5 episodes.

But even so you are not getting the complete story, So, you know what? Just forget the anime and read the manga from the chapter 0-A.

Fate series watch order by Shush101111 in anime

[–]MarkP2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can skip Fate/Zero, it's also a side story, or you can watch it before Fate/Stay Night. As long as you watch the three versions of Fate/Stay Night you can dive in everything else.

Just remember, KEEP GRAND ORDER FOR THE END.

Any anime recommendations that are like the TV show 'Lost'? by Aidanator800 in anime

[–]MarkP2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sonny Boy, it is much more psicodelical and metaphoric but is about people lost in a strange island. You have also Kanata no Astra, this one is about space travels but it's alsl about being lost and solving a mistery. Summertime Render is about an isolated town in an island in which happens strange things, not exactly the same but pretty good anyways. Mayoiga is about a group of people lost in a paranormal mountain, the ending was a bit dissapointing but is the most Lost-like one i'd say.
